Dylan - Dyl
Cecil - Cec (Sess)
Sebatian - Seb

My favourite is Cecil. I personally won't be shortening it but just wanted to put up the nicknames that are usually used

None of your pre planned nicknames are nice - Dill, Sess or Seb?! Why are you so keen to shorten them, especially Dylan and Cecil?

My favourite is Cecil. Cool and classic.

I really don't think you need to shorten Dylan or Cecil! Or certainly not to plan it ahead of time. Sess is just strange.

Dylan is a lovely name on its own.

I like Cecil, it's due a comeback. But why shorten it?! Cecil rolls of the tongue easily!

Dylan is nice too, but again why shorten to Dill?! Awful imo.

Sebastian is a little too frilly and long for me. And Seb feels soft and oily (sebaceous) while Basty is too similar to bastard.

Sebastian is ok dd2 has a friend called this known as Sebby quite cute.
Cecil would grow on me kind of like it but potentially nn could be silly rather than sess.
What about Cedric good strong name or Donovan rather than Dylan?

My father’s name is Cecil.
Good name, but my son is Eli.
I don’t care for Dylan at all.

Cecil I should like because I like old man names but it’s too harsh with too many S sounds it’s uncomfortable to both say and listen to

I really like Cecil (also love Cecily for a girl). Classic and strong. But I wouldn't shorten it.

Dylan is ok.

I'm not keen on Sebastian, don't like the Basty part, it reminds me of Bastard.
