Hi! Thanks for reading my thread! I’m really struggling to decide on name for baby boy who is due very soon! I’ve narrowed it down to the following names: Otis, Marley, Milo, Freddie and Arthur. Please could you share your opinions/ favourites from my list and possibly other suggestions? I’m looking for a cute and cheeky sounding name! Thankyou xx

Hi everyone!
Thankyou for all the opinions and suggestions! I think I’ve decided on Otis ❤️ With Christopher as a middle name, Thankyou again xx

MrsNoMopp · 11/11/2019 14:35

Freddie is nice, preferably as a nickname for Frederick, Wilfred or Alfred. Arthur is too similar to Aria. Otis and Milo are OK. Not so keen on Marley.

IckleBear · 09/11/2019 11:15

Well you've asked for opinions OP so here are my honest ones....

Otis - I know a few Otises and it screams try hard middle class parent.

Marley - sorry see above.

Milo - I quite like this. Hot chocolate in Australia

Freddie - a nickname. Will he be a Frederick?

Arthur - posh sounding.

All of these names are quite popular.
I know at last 2 of all of them.

PsychosonicCindy · 09/11/2019 11:02

Otis definitely

Callthemidwifeplease · 09/11/2019 10:55

Otis

Astronica · 09/11/2019 10:54

Milo or Arthur.
The only one I really dislike is Marley.

user1493494961 · 09/11/2019 10:52

Dislike Marley, I would probably go with Milo or Arthur. I know a teenage Arthur who is usually Artie, he is very happy with his name.

Idolovetobebesidethesea · 08/11/2019 22:23

I really don't like Marley.
Otis and Milo are lovely as is Arthur.

Princessreceptionist00 · 08/11/2019 22:22

Hi everyone, thanks for your replies! Looks like Otis is coming out on topSmile please keep the ideas coming!! If it helps I already have a dd called Aria, thanks again xx

FizzyGreenWater · 08/11/2019 19:30

Otis or Milo.

I don't like the nn Art for Arthur.

Don't like Marley

EleanorShellstrop100 · 08/11/2019 18:50

Otis, Milo and Arthur are all great!

Mamabear88 · 08/11/2019 18:47

Definitely Otis! I love that, very unusual too. Don't do Arthur, they're left, right and centre in all the baby classes I go too. Marley sounds feminine to me. Milo reminds me of Myeloma / Myelofibrosis due to personal reasons...

ilovemykids5 · 08/11/2019 18:45

Can't imagine Arthur as a teenagers name.
Milo sounds like a cats name.
Love Freddie.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/11/2019 18:40

Albie.
Vinnie
Kenny
Reggie

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/11/2019 18:39

I’d rule out Arthur. There’s nothing cutesy about it. It’s a very serious name.
Teddy
Dougie
Bertie
Herbie
Tommy.
Jimmy.
Charlie
Toby.

elliollie · 08/11/2019 18:29

Our friend has an Arthur, known as Artie

DarkLikeVader · 08/11/2019 18:04

Not Freddie. I know several small ones and they are all horrors. Otis is lovely as in Arthur!

MrsBertBibby · 08/11/2019 18:03

Do you have reason to believe your baby will be cute and cheeky, btw? They tend to come with their own personalities.

Chocolatecake12 · 08/11/2019 18:00

Otis is the best from your list. Cute and cheeky sounding for a youngster but also cool enough for a teenager and transfers into adulthood.
