Opinions on baby girl name

Lennox

Nickname being Leni

All opinions welcome as we aren't sure if we love it or not and not really heard of the name before

I like Lennox for a boy. I'd look at other ways to get nn Leni if you love that. eg Leonor, Leonora, Lena, Helena, Eleanor, Eleonora, Ellen.

I knew an American girl called Lenox, just one 'n'. I don't hate it but don't love it. I do like Leni, though.

Also reminds me of Lennie the character in Of Mice and Men which most teenage students study for gcse and there would be a lot of potential for mocking/making fun.

Definitely no. It's a boys name, and not a nice one. Normally I like unisex names but this is not one of them.

Leni is a nice nickname - there are plenty of options to give her as a fuller name, or just use Leni as the full name. It would be far preferable to saddling the poor child with Lennox.

No. It’s a boy’s name at best. There are other names that could get you Leni. Elena. Eleanor. Leonora. Helen. Marlene. Etc

I don’t like it at all and Leni as a nickname is worse than Lennox.

Oh please do not, no. Reminds me of Lennox Lewis the boxer. Also has a naughty child vibe regardless of what gender. Don't do it. It's hormones affecting your judgement!

Agree with pp, not a nice name for a boy, pretty awful for a girl. There's a reason you haven't heard of it much, most people have got better taste.

Whilst not commonly heard of it carries a 'common' vibe- sorry. Reminds me if Lennon.
Leni is lovely though and it be looking at other names that would shorten to Leni.
