Fraser

DramaAlpaca · 03/11/2019 23:41

Austin is lovely, I really like it, but it does sound like a vintage car.

Fraser doesn't work well with Eliza.

BasiliskStare · 03/11/2019 23:38

Wasn't there a rugby player called Austin Healy - which is a vintage car name - Austin Sheffield ought to have been one but I do not think it was

diddlediddle · 03/11/2019 23:27

Haha when I read the title I thought "Austin Sheffield sounds exactly like a vintage car". I thought this was likely to be a unique yet astute observation so imagine my surprise when I see that virtually everyone else has thought the same thing 😂

It has to be Fraser Sheffield out of those two choices, and it's a nice name. It doesn't seem to similar to Eliza at all to me.

Astronica · 03/11/2019 23:27

I prefer Fraser.

Shelby30 · 03/11/2019 23:00

Fraser, great name and not too popular. I think Austin seems too American.

RomaineCalm · 03/11/2019 22:51

I prefer Fraser to Austin.

Other similar options...

Angus Sheffield
James Sheffield
Robert Sheffield
George Sheffield
Henry (Harry) Sheffield
Cameron Sheffield
Connor Sheffield
Callum Sheffield
Rory Sheffield
Edward Sheffield
Stuart Sheffield

All work with Eliza.

MrsBertBibby · 03/11/2019 22:45

Of the two, Fraser, but I don't like it much and it is very close to Eliza.

Robert would be great. Robert Sheffield. Rob or Robbie.

Ikeameatballs · 03/11/2019 22:31

Hmm. I’m not sure that either is quite right.

What about Oscar?

MissHenty · 03/11/2019 22:29

Austin can have nickname Ozzy. Love it

Austin has declined each year in popularity for the past 3 or 4 years so that’s good if you’re wanting it to be unusual

letsdolunch321 · 03/11/2019 22:18

I prefer Fraser, it is less common.

SirVixofVixHall · 03/11/2019 22:05

Agree Austin Sheffield is a car to me. A lovely car smelling of leather, and with walnut trimmings, but a car nonetheless.

AngelaDevon · 03/11/2019 22:03

Thank you for your opinions. This is so tough! I think I prefer Fraser, but know it doesnt work well with his sisters name Eliza. Austin works better all round, but just like the sound of Fraser and it is less common.

I prefer Austin. I think there are too many fs in Fraser Sheffield, it doesn't flow as well as Austin Sheffield.

misspiggy19 · 03/11/2019 21:58

Austin

Yestermo · 03/11/2019 21:56

Austin Sheffield is not a person's name but an old car. Fraser is better but still sounds like an object. Not sure why though!

AngelaDevon · 03/11/2019 21:56

Ha ha! Nope, not Scottish. We just both love the name. We have not agreed on any other yet! I like Austin, but husband isn't as keen. Also, sister is called Eliza so I know we will get flack for choosing a similar sounding name with Fraser!

MissHenty · 03/11/2019 21:55

Love both

Prefer Austin. GREAT NAME

GoingBackTo505 · 03/11/2019 21:53

Austin. Great name!

BertrandRussell · 03/11/2019 21:53

Austin Sheffield sounds like a vintage car! Of the two, Fraser. Are you Scottish? it doesn’t really matter- but it is a very Scottish name......
