M names for a Girl

I seem to really like names beginning with M this time around. My favourite being Merryn. I also like Mariela. Not so keen on Mary as apparently it means "bitterness".

I already have a DD with a name that is a nickname of a name quite popular in people who are great-grandma age currently. So I quite like old names too.

Can you suggest any nice M names I might not have thought of?

@ChikiTIKI You could have Myra as a middle name if it’s linked to your Dad’s mum? That’s if you like the name and were not sure whether to use it.

We have read through them and Maria, Martha, Merryn are towards the top. Husband has said no to Mariela now. My dad's mum was called Myra which is a nice name but we don't feel we can use it. Where we live, that name brings up an immediate negative memory for people.

Thanks everyone! Lots of lovely names here. Meriel I really like but my husband wasn't so keen but I came across Merryn which he likes more but isn't convinced on.

I probably should have mentioned this earlier but would really like the middle name to be Helen. Is Merryn Helen not that great sounding though? The two names mean "joyful" and "Ray of light" and the name Helen is very special to us.

Going to back and read through all your suggestions carefully. Martha I really like too. Do people think it's quite popular these days though?
