I love the meaning of this name and the fact that it’s the name of my special saint.

Incredibly, I have taught 2 Ursulas in the past couple of years. While I immediately thought of The Little Mermaid, the other kids didn't seem to make that connection at all. It's actually quite an elegant name really and I like it.

Hideous name. I didn’t know about the Little Mermaid connection, but it’s still ugly. And I love bears, but not sure why I’d want to call my daughter one!

Also it reminds me of the anagram 'sula' meaning 'sweaty upper lip alert' 🤣

I think it’s such a sweet name, but some people pronounce it “Ur-soo-la” instead of “Ur-syoo-la” which would annoy me.

Fat ugly sea witch. Sorry! The meaning you describe is beautiful but it doesn't roll off the tongue and sounds rather cumbersome.

Just reminds me of FRIENDS - I didn't know about any other associations.

It's not my style of name, I don't really like it, but I don't think it's awful!

I don't have any strong feelings about the name either way, it definitely has Little Mermaid connections for me though. Isn't the live action version coming out next year as well? Could be pretty bad timing
