Never even considered this name before but something about it really appealed to me today. It seemed to be girly yet elegant. Everything I look for in a name.
What do you think of Annabel?
Would it go well with Noah and Jacob?
Which would you prefer? Annabel or Matilda? Thank you.

When’s the baby due @mumofnoahandjacob ❤️ Will you update us xx

MissHenty · 10/11/2019 19:35

Ps. Holly is a great name!
Matilda Holly @mumofnoahandjacob

MissHenty · 10/11/2019 19:33

@mumofnoahandjacob have I got the right person or am I confused.... do you keep choosing new names and comparing them to Matilda? Please pick Matilda!! After the number of times you’ve found a new name only for Matilda to stay and the “new” name to be binned and replaced with another “new” name... I really think you’re missing the obvious here. It’s Matilda ❤️❤️ Perfect name

jfoyo26 · 10/11/2019 19:23

An a bell (end)! Maybe a consideration when a teenager...I have the same issue with Isabel!

HeadlessGummyBears · 21/10/2019 15:16

I like Matilda. It always reminds me of the book by Roald Dahl which was one of my favourites when I was growing up.

• Matilda nn Tilly/Matty

But having said that, I prefer Annabelle even though it does remind me of the baby Annabel dolls lol.

DialANumber · 21/10/2019 11:42

Going out on a limb I think Darcey Matilda or Holly Matilda are both less 'now'

NoSauce · 21/10/2019 11:37

Annabel is nice but I prefer Matilda.

Whattodoabout · 21/10/2019 11:28

I like Annabel but I think it’s become associated with horror films in recent years.

I love Matilda.

Astronica · 21/10/2019 00:56

Both Matilda and Annabel are lovely and I don't think either one sounds better with your boys' names. Both are much better than Darcey. And Holly makes a lovely middle with both. Does one sound better with the surname?

Bol87 · 20/10/2019 21:45

My little girl is Annabelle known as ‘orphan’ Annie 🙄 people love her name, I’m yet to have any comments about her being named after orphan.

I actually named her after The Parent Trap twins 😂 Couldn’t use Hallie so went for Annie. My other half prefers none nicknames so we worked backwards to Annabelle.

mumofnoahandjacob · 20/10/2019 19:39

Its funny my favourite Cecelia Ahern book is PS I love you and the sequel to that is now released. Holly was the main character. So it just fits perfectly for me.

Matilda Holly. Perfect! Job done Smile

Babyg1995 · 20/10/2019 19:26

Annabelle and Isabella are the 2 names we have picked just need to decide which one now.

MissHenty · 20/10/2019 19:25

I agree. Stick with Matilda

Matilda Holly

Goes great with Noah and Jacob and is a gorgeous name in own right

Done ✅

Leopardprintboots · 20/10/2019 19:23

Meant to tag you @mumofnoahandjacob

Leopardprintboots · 20/10/2019 19:21

@DramaAlpaca this is exactly what I wanted to say but couldn’t quite find the right words

I think Matilda Holly is gorgeous OP. I agree that o feel like you keep trying to talk yourself out of Matilda but then it reappears again. I also think you’d really regret not using it but that’s just my opinion

mumofnoahandjacob · 20/10/2019 18:47

Think I've finally narrowed it down to:
Matilda Holly or
Darcey Matilda.

Love Annabel with Bella as a nn.

ArtisanPopcorn · 20/10/2019 18:28

I really like Annabel, Anna and Annie, I only discounted it as it was too popular for me.

DramaAlpaca · 20/10/2019 18:19

Annabel is lovely, as is Matilda.

But OP, you know you really love Matilda, you've posted lots about it. In the nicest possible way, stop trying to talk yourself out of it and go with that. I get the impression that you love it so much you'd regret it if you didn't. And it goes really well with your boys' names.

Courtney555 · 20/10/2019 18:07

Annabel, the horror film, with the hideous wooden faced doll?

mumofnoahandjacob · 20/10/2019 17:30

Crazy, possessed doll? Forgive me for being naive but I have absolutely no idea what you are on about Confused

Courtney555 · 20/10/2019 15:42

On the other hand, Matilda reminds me of the robot from robot wars, but shortened, Tilly is really sweet.

Biancadelrioisback · 20/10/2019 15:41

Yeah Annabel is a crazy, possessed doll so it's a no from me

Jj2431 · 20/10/2019 15:39

Just reminds me of the creepy doll now
