Can I use the same name twice?

I have a bit of a predicament...
So with DD1 we found it really hard finding names we really loved until we heard one and absolutely loved it!
We had two names and ended up using them as a first and middle name.
However, the only girls name I really love if we had a second DD is DD1's middle name.
If I have another girl can I give her my DD1's middle name as her first name or is that wrong? Confused
The name is Amara Smile

I have two daughters and felt the same, I loved DD1's middle name and would have used it as a first name for DD2 had I known she was coming.
As a younger sister myself I knew that her name might be one of the few things she would have all of her own, it felt unfair to make her share!
So we gave her a name we never even thought of for DD1. It's beautiful and suits perfectly.

Switch DD1s names around for DD2 and tell them you loved both names so much you wanted them both to have them. Grin

Royals did it with Louis. I say go for it x

I think you need to find another. Between sisters it would feel like a handmedown name.

Personally, I wouldn't!

My in laws did this with my husband and his brothers. They all have a mix of each others middle names/first names. I thought it was a bit quirky but nothing more. Middle names don't often get used either so I'd say go for it!
