Hello,

This is my 2nd post. Baby is 6 weeks old and still not registered as we cannot decide/ agree on a name 🤦🏻‍♀️🙈
I like rohan/rowan (dh not that keen but could prob talk him around)
Flynn
Xander
I like all of these names equally.

Siblings are Neve and Isaac

Which name do you think goes best with siblings names?

Many thanks x

@Lisajg23 ah how lovely Alexander is your dads name. Xander would make a great middle name in tribute to him x

Thank you X

@mathanxiety

Yes Flynn is an Irish surname, as are alot of surnames that are also used as first names now, Harrison, Jackson etc. It does sound similar to Finn, i do like finn.but know many. But i do appreciate your feed back.

Xander is just taken from Alexander which is my dad's name so it doesn't seem exotic to me. I just didn't want Alex or Al as that's what my dad gets, so in tribute to him but also a little but different.

@Lisajg23
Flynn is a lovely name - great for a little boy but also for a man. Sounds creative and outdoorsy.
Xander is cool too.👍
2 of the Rowan’s I know of are girls and are called “Row” (like rowing a boat) which I don’t like sorry.

Windydaysuponus · 19/10/2019 21:50

I also have a Gabriel...

NoSauce · 19/10/2019 21:29

Didn’t we do this yesterday??

mathanxiety · 19/10/2019 21:13

I far prefer Rohan or Rowan over Flynn or Xander.

Xander is very 'try hard' to be exotic, with the X and all.

Flynn is a ridiculous name - it's a surname for starters, and again 'yry hard' - in this case, trying to sound like Finn but not be Finn. And personally, it makes me think 'skinflint'.

Thanks very much for all your help. I will update the thread when we have finally decided and he is registered 🙂 x

@Windydaysuponus

Ahh lovely names together x

I think Isaac, Neve and Xander go well because they all have a hard vowel sound the "z" sound in Isaac and Xander and the V in neve tied them together in my opinion.

@Sparklypurpleunicornsaremyfav
That's a good idea I will try that. Thank you x

Flynn - Goes best with Issac and Neve.

Although as a single name I prefer Alexander with Xander as a nickname.

Leopardprintboots · 19/10/2019 07:25

Flynn

Neve, Isaac and Flynn ❤️

Astronica · 19/10/2019 06:49

Flynn goes best I think.

Onceuponasilvermoon · 19/10/2019 05:39

Flynn

I don’t like Xander at all, prefer Alex.

Thatagain · 19/10/2019 05:15

Zack goes nice with isaac.

Windydaysuponus · 18/10/2019 20:01

I have boys called Roan and Fynn.

Sparklypurpleunicornsaremyfav · 18/10/2019 19:58

Xander/zander.
You already know I love isaac and neve 😂 I like xander flynn as a name. I know your stressing, have you tried using the names in conversation eg rohan needs a nappy change
Flynn needs feeding
Xander needs a nap
I found doing this helped as it made me realise which one 'felt right'

OverthinkingThis · 18/10/2019 16:11

Flynn

busymummy19 · 18/10/2019 16:06

Definitely Flynn. Sounds awesome with sibling names.

I'm also liking Jude at the moment just to throw another name out there.

Ganet · 18/10/2019 15:51

Rua is pronounced Roo-ah.

december20100 · 18/10/2019 15:18

Rowan is lovely, it's on my list.

Littleheart5 · 18/10/2019 14:15

To be honest I don’t think that Neve and Isaac really ‘go’ (and I don’t believe sibling names have to!!) as one is from the Irish Niamh and Isaac is biblical. So I would just pick whatever you prefer and not worry about ‘matching’!

Lisajg23 · 18/10/2019 14:10

@Ganet

How do you pronounce this?
Thanks x
