Down to three girls names .

After many many lists and deliberations we think we are down to three names but I find I swing between them all and just can’t settle in one.

Elizabeth ( known as Libby)
Rachel
Isobel

What do you think? Any opinions gratefully received .

Not rachel

Love Elizabeth (one of my fav names) or Isobel

@Notrobusta I am also an indecisive person! I hoped with both my babies that their name would jump out at me once they were born. It didn’t. I never had that “aha so you’re a [James]” moment whatsoever! I wish I’d just decided in advance as I think it would have helped with bonding

Sunflower20 · 15/10/2019 20:35

Either Elizabeth or Isobel.
Not Rachel.

DontCallMeShitley · 15/10/2019 20:32

Isobel
Then Elizabeth

Absolutely not Rachel.

mrwalkensir · 15/10/2019 20:22

If you go for Elisabeth, you might find the instant that she's born that she's not a Libby, but a Beth for example. As Deadringer says, it has a lot of options... (yep - we have one that was very definitely different the minute she opened her eyes Smile )

Deadringer · 15/10/2019 20:17

I would go for Elizabeth, if she doesn't look like a Libby you have lots of other options for a nn.

DameSylvieKrin · 15/10/2019 20:17

Rachel

cptartapp · 15/10/2019 20:10

Elizabeth in its enterity, no contrived infantile nn, or Rachel also lovely.
Not another Isobel.

Butterfly02 · 15/10/2019 20:09

Elizabeth /lobby could also use liz/lizzie if she wanted.

NoSauce · 15/10/2019 20:07

Elizabeth but I’m sorry I hate Libby.

BalloonDinosaur · 15/10/2019 20:02

I like Isobel, we would've named DS that if he'd been a girl.

Rachel's nice too, not so popular these days I don't think.

MikeUniformMike · 15/10/2019 19:57

I'd go for Rachel I think.

hungryhippie · 15/10/2019 19:53

I would go for Rachel. It's a lovely name that is underused these days.

DramaAlpaca · 15/10/2019 19:51

I like all of them, so I'm not much help. I think I'd probably go for Elizabeth because it's so versatile & I love Libby.

17caterpillars1mouse · 15/10/2019 19:48

I like Elizabeth but not a fan of Libby

Rachel is a lovely, classic and I've heard it a few times now so many due a comeback. I don't think it will be mega popular anytime soon though

I love Isobel (it's dd1s middle name) but I found it too popular to use as a first name

Notrobusta · 15/10/2019 19:10

Thank you everyone. I’m tempted to wait until she is born but know how indecisive I am and fear I won’t settle on a name .

Isobel is lovely

Lonecatwithkitten · 15/10/2019 18:48

I agree with @saywhatwhatnow wait until she's born and choose the one that suits her best.

071019DD · 15/10/2019 18:48

Definitely a vote for Elizabeth from me, LOVE the name. I know a few children called Isobel or variations of.

IckleBear · 15/10/2019 18:46

Isobel

Nonameyet1 · 15/10/2019 18:45

Elizabeth - it’s so gorgeous

Spied · 15/10/2019 18:40

I'm not a fan of Elizabeth nn Libby but I love Tilly.
I like Rachel.
Not sure about Isobel. Think it may be a bit overused.

Gazelda · 15/10/2019 18:37

I love Elizabeth. It was in my top two.

Notrobusta · 15/10/2019 18:36

Just wondering if Isobel is too popular or is it starting to fade now. I know lots of teenage With the name but haven’t come across too many little ones .

daisypond · 15/10/2019 18:28

I like them all but I’d go for Elizabeth.

bridgetreilly · 15/10/2019 18:23

I like Rachel, Isabel (prefer to Isobel), Elizabeth in that order. Libby is a sweet nn, though.
