I started a thread a while ago asking about all sorts of names and this wasn't on the list. (I had Barney, Otis, Zachary and Finley and also Leonard for anyone who is interested!)
We have arrived at this as a compromise name but it's actually really growing on me. What do you think of Sam to go with Rory? He would be Sammy to me as a baby (although dh wouldnt use Sammy I don't think) and then Sam or Samuel.
I think it's simple and classic and I've never met a Sam who isn't nice.

Samuel is a nice name, not over used.
Not too keen on Sammie, but I wouldn't raise an eyebrow if that was someone's name.

Yay, MN approval for DS's name! I'm obviously biased, but he IS a very nice boy and other people are always telling me so. Smile

There are 4 Sam's in my dd's class.

DramaAlpaca · 13/10/2019 17:12

I like Sam & it sounds nice with Rory. It's a good, strong classic name & you can't go far wrong with one of those.

BadSun · 13/10/2019 17:04

I agree Sam is a nice, classic, strong name.

Not a fan of Sammy but each to their own!
