What do people think of Shoshana, I'm really warming to it. DH is on the fence but a favourite aunt had this name so is warming too.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I really want to like it because I’d love to make my daughter after the amazing character from Inglorious Basterds! But I just can’t quite get my head around if.

FoodWoes · 13/10/2019 05:41

Sean connery 😂😂😂

It's awful.

Rainbowhairdontcare · 13/10/2019 05:21

Beautiful Jewish name. It's Susan in Hebrew. In reality not different from Hannah = Anne

GeorgiaGirl52 · 13/10/2019 04:40

Reminds me of the Shoshone Indian tribe.

RoyalMail · 13/10/2019 03:58

Beautiful Jewish name, though I’ve always seen it spelled Shoshanna.

Shelley54 · 13/10/2019 03:50

Isn't it a dish where eggs are cooked in tomatoes in a frying pan?

littleorangecat22 · 13/10/2019 03:33

I know two, both Jewish, both go by Shosh. I'd only use it if you are Jewish tbh but I love the name.

Oliversmumsarmy · 13/10/2019 02:46

I know a Shoshana

Definitely not

zeddybrek · 13/10/2019 02:26

No

Astronica · 13/10/2019 02:24

Yes.

ladybirdsarelovely33 · 13/10/2019 00:38

I know two - both Jewish. One is called Shosh 99% of the time. I think it's a lovely name.

itssquidstella · 13/10/2019 00:26

Yes, it's a beautiful nMe and I've taught a lovely Soshana.

diddlediddle · 13/10/2019 00:23

If Jewish, yes it's nice.

If not Jewish, defo don't use it.

Hoolihan · 12/10/2019 23:54

I know two, both Jewish. Presumably you are too, otherwise probably wouldn't use it.

Catforaheadrest · 12/10/2019 23:51

Couldn’t ever say it without thinking of Inglorious basterds!

Hellofriend · 12/10/2019 23:50

How do you pronounce it?

bridgetreilly · 12/10/2019 23:31

I really like it, OP. I've also seen it spelled Shoshanna.

user1493494961 · 12/10/2019 23:30

No, dreadful.

Laquila · 12/10/2019 23:29

I quite like it, although I’ve always felt it was a tiny bit...faffy? Flowery? I think it’s reminds me of the name of a flower but I don’t know which.

The only one I’ve known had Tzippora for a sister - I definitely prefer Shoshana!

Northernsoullover · 12/10/2019 23:22

It reminds me of a poor ventriloquist saying 'sausages' those of us above 45 will know what I mean.

alexdgr8 · 12/10/2019 23:22

No. not in this country. will be mocked mercilessly. see above. sorry.

LemonScentedStickyBat · 12/10/2019 23:21

DariaMorgendorffer · 12/10/2019 23:19

colouringinpro · 12/10/2019 23:19

I've met an amazing Shoshanah who's had a huge positive impact on my son's health. So I'm definitely a fan 😁

motortroll · 12/10/2019 23:18

Oh and my daughter is Esther which is also seen as a Jewish name. We are not Jewish.
