Daisie?

Is it ok to spell it like this instead of with a y? I don't know why but I just prefer it. I don't want to look too "try hard" though. Is it common to be spelt this way too or just weird?

Dreadful

PurpleDaisies · 09/10/2019 22:27

No.

I don't understand why people have to change the spelling? It looks weird.

NannyR · 09/10/2019 22:26

I've never come across daisy spelled that way but I suppose you could, after all Maisie is an a!most identical name that is more commonly spelled with an -ie.
I think she would have a lifetime of correcting people about the spelling of her name though, which does get very annoying (speaking from experience!)

RightOnTheEdge · 09/10/2019 22:26

I think it looks strange but maybe because I have a Daisy and so it just looks wrong to me.

Tillygetsit · 09/10/2019 22:25

I personally have never seen your spelling and prefer the original Daisy.

CremeEggThief · 09/10/2019 22:24

Sorry, it just doesn't look right. I have never seen it spelled that way either, and I've seen quite a lot of names that are usually ending in 'y' in 'ie' (former primary school teacher).
