What do you think of this name for a boy

Kace for a boy? Pronounced Case. I'm worried it's a bit too trendy and chav but really like it.

Other options are;

Theo
Ashton
Asher
Tristan

But I'm just not feeling them as much especially as it will get shortened to Ash. Also Theo a bit popular at the moment.

Thoughts please?

Tristan. Asher is a bit too Towie & fake sounding for me.

Sron · 09/10/2019 23:27

Sigh. Kace is not Irish. Irish does not have the letter ‘K’.

Casey is an Irish surname. It is primarily used as a first name by the kind of Americans of Irish extraction who actually believe what baby name internet sites say and drink green beer on ‘St Patty’s Day’.

TottieandMarchpane · 09/10/2019 23:25

Asher is a really good name.

ginginchinchin · 09/10/2019 23:21

The only Asher I know is in jail for benefit fraud (as a benefits assessor working for a council) so for me Asher = thieving bastard

Boireannachlaidir · 09/10/2019 23:17

@memaymamo er...not sure what you're getting at either - are you sneering at the OP?Hmm

steppenmum · 09/10/2019 23:16

Mason with the nickname Mase if that's the sound you like?

katy1111 · 09/10/2019 23:14

Asher is a great name.

Stephminx · 09/10/2019 23:00

Mostly awful. Tristan is probably the best.

Wizzbangpop · 09/10/2019 22:57

No keen I'm afraid
Of the other names on your list I like Theo and perhaps Tristan

EdWinchester · 09/10/2019 22:51

Thank the lord you saw sense re Kace.

I love Asher.

Tristan is wet-lipped and mimsy. And will always get called Tristram.

RoseMartha · 09/10/2019 22:47

I like Tristan

Chocmallows · 09/10/2019 22:42

Out of the two I think Tristan sounds like a stronger name.

LemonPrism · 09/10/2019 22:33

Stupid.

Casey is a boys name too

Oakandlove · 09/10/2019 19:59

Tristan is beautiful with a lovely history/legend behind it

071019DD · 09/10/2019 19:56

Your Tristan or Asher will be just gorgeous and will love his name, good luck! Smile

Aoibhneas · 09/10/2019 19:24

Chavtastic

Hey1256 · 09/10/2019 19:17

After much thought and opinions on this thread my list is now shorter - I think It'll be either Tristan and Asher!

Kace is out the window lol

Casey is too girly for me

Love Asher from your list and, as others have said probably prefer Casey to Kace but I have a DS named Hayden which gets slammed as 'chavvy' on here but we're not chavvy at all and so pleased we picked it (he's now 8) so definitely just go with what you like!

Starrynights86 · 09/10/2019 17:50

It’s a Dutch name, you actually spell it Kees.

HJWT · 09/10/2019 17:42

@Hey1256 call him Casey and use Case for short x

Hey1256 · 09/10/2019 17:32

It does sound American but it's actually Irish when I google it

Casey is OK for a boy I've never heard of Kace though is it an American name?
