So we are expecting DC2 and haven’t found out the gender. We have agreed on Thomas for a boy, but have no idea for a girl!

DD1 is Niamh if that helps?

Ellen came to mind when I read Niamh but now I’ve seen it suggested I think Erin goes well with Niamh.

Niamh is nice.

Freya is a Norse fertility goddess so I don't think it would be a good idea to call a girl that. Some pagan goddess names are OK, Diana for example (the huntress I think), but Freya sounds a bit creepy.

You could pick something classic like Elizabeth or Louisa, a daughter would never be embarrassed or complain about a name like that.

Aoife and Saoirse are my favourites. I know you say it doesn't have to be Irish but I think it sounds more rounded personally.

IggyAce · 05/10/2019 18:43

Niamh and Erin
Niamh and Rebecca
Niamh and Margot

Vagndidit · 05/10/2019 18:42

I know of at least 2 families who have a Niamh and Ciara. Lovely names

schafernaker · 05/10/2019 18:42

Thanks for the suggestions. Orla and Aoife are on the list 😊 it doesn’t have to be Irish though!
