This is why you don’t share your names with people! Far too many people happy to tell you that they’re horrid names or you should do this or that with the names.
I adore Freddie and if our little one turns out to be a boy he will be Frederick and we’ll call him Freddie.
Tommy is also very sweet.

Butterfly005 · 04/10/2019 22:12

Freddie

RainWoman19 · 04/10/2019 22:04

Tommy.

EmpressLesbianInChair · 04/10/2019 22:01

Either but like other posters say, as short names for Thomas or Frederick!

SoftBlocks · 04/10/2019 21:59

Thomas/Tom
Don’t really like Freddie

DramaAlpaca · 04/10/2019 21:58

Thomas or Frederick. At least give the poor child a dignified, adult version of a name so he doesn't have to go through life sounding like a toddler .

weeblefeet · 04/10/2019 21:38

I've heard of a few Tommy's recently. Think it's a Peaky Blinders thing

Yellowpolkadot · 04/10/2019 21:37

We are going for Thomas if current baby turns out to be a boy 😍😍

applebe · 04/10/2019 21:19

Love Freddie!

Rachelover60 · 04/10/2019 21:14

I hope you mean Frederick or Thomas, shortened by friends and family to Fred and Tom.

Like both names.

MissHenty · 04/10/2019 21:13

Has this helped @george24

I really like both names sorry not much help 🙈 good choices

Apolloanddaphne · 04/10/2019 20:59

Tommy. My DF was Thomas and went by Tam most of his life. His elderly aunts alway called him Tommy though. I love it.

Swishswish26 · 04/10/2019 20:53

Sorry but not keen on Freddie and it’s very overused. Reminds me of the chocolate bar Freddo Frog. Tommy is better.

gwilt · 04/10/2019 20:51

Neither. Give them the option of a full name for the future, if they want it.

RuthW · 04/10/2019 20:46

I prefer Frederick although Thomas is nice.

howu2 · 04/10/2019 20:44

Tom

NoSauce · 04/10/2019 20:29

Just reminds me of Vera Duckworth saying “ are ( our ) Tommeh “ Grin

partofyoupoursoutofme · 04/10/2019 20:23

Love Tommy! On it's own it's fab, shortened to Tom it works in every situation.

NoSauce · 04/10/2019 20:19

I don’t like Tommy. Tom is so much nicer.

Rock on TOMMY.

Petrichor11 · 04/10/2019 20:15

Thomas

I’m not a fan of Tommy, though it’s not awful. I would just use Tom

Gummibaerchen1 · 04/10/2019 18:45

Frederick but not Fred or Freddy

user1493494961 · 04/10/2019 18:29

Tommy, Tom is nicer than Fred, which ultimately they would be shortened to.

Yeahnahyeah1 · 04/10/2019 17:59

Thomas, nn Tommy.

Knittedfairies · 04/10/2019 17:58

Neither. Frederick or Thomas on the birth certificate, then Freddie or Tommy as diminutives.

Crawley65 · 04/10/2019 17:55

Thomas but Tom not Tommy. Really dislike Tommy.
