Matilda

So I'm expecting a girl after two boys Noah and Jacob. I absolutely loved their names and never had any doubts. They weren't picked because I was looking for biblical names I just loved them both.
But I just dont seem to love any girls names.
I loved Matilda during my pregnancy with both boys but now I'm just not sure. Maybe I've had it in my mind so long I've gone off it but then nothing else seems to appeal to me either. I keep searching the threads on here for inspiration but nothing feels right.

What do you all think of Matilda? Does it go well with Noah and Jacob?
Suggestions also welcome. Prefer shorter names with less likely nickname options. Popularity is not an issue. Not necessarily looking for a biblical name. Nothing too unusual or out there as it wouldnt fit right with Noah and Jacob.
Thank you!

Wow, overwhelmed with such a positive response to Matilda. Any idea on short middle name to go with Matilda? Ideally 3-4 letters and something that flows nicely. Prefer not to use virtue names as find it gives child alot to live up to.
Matilda Aria and Matilda Wren were two ideas I had but not sure they work.

I think Matilda goes well with Noah and Jacob and if you love it you should use it. But if you want other suggestions:
Noah, Jacob and Tabitha
Noah, Jacob and Harriet
Noah, Jacob and Charlotte
Noah, Jacob and Caroline
Noah, Jacob and Florence
Noah, Jacob and Elinor

Matilda is lovely. I think you'll risk regretting it if you don't use it.

Dinosauraddict · 29/09/2019 19:40

I love Matilda and actually I've only ever met 2 - one at Uni and one at work who it still suits.

onemorerose · 29/09/2019 19:36

I love Matilda. Is it too cute though or is it just because I don’t know any grown up Matilda’s?

Matilda is lovely and goes well with your sons' names.

probablynotrelevant · 29/09/2019 19:01

happycamper11 · 29/09/2019 18:45

I adore Matilda and actually I don't know a single one. DC go to a huge school too and I've not come across one

mumofnoahandjacob · 29/09/2019 18:37

Im also beginning to wonder if I'll regret not using it. Maybe I should just relax and maybe I'll realise how much I loved it.
Admired Delilah once before but the meaning puts me off Hmm

@Marmite27 Matilda is actually declining in popularity the past few years. This graph is based on UK office of National Statistics (ONS) data:

I actually LoVE the name Matilda, OP and wonder if you’ll really regret it if you don’t use it?!

Names in a similar vein:

Olivia
Felicity
Imogen
Delilah

It’s a lovely name, I have one.

But it is getting popular if that bothers you. There has been at least another one in every baby group and there are several at nursery including one in the same age group/room.

Matilda is gorgeous, and i think it fits really well with Noah and Jacob. you could also consider Talia, Renee or Sadie?
