Which would you choose and why?

Genevieve.
Both are classic and beautiful but for me Genevieve has the edge.

starkid · 23/09/2019 15:44

Genevieve, love it!

confusedandemployed · 23/09/2019 15:01

Rosa - but I have one.

I also really like Genevieve, and my Rosa's middle name is something very similar.

MissHenty · 23/09/2019 15:00

Whenever I’ve met anyone called Genevive I just assume they’re not English.

Lilena94 · 23/09/2019 14:31

Genevieve

MissHenty · 23/09/2019 13:41

Rosa

I actually hate the name Genevive. It’s so clunky. Too fussy. I really wouldn’t like it if it were my name

TempsPerdu · 23/09/2019 11:38

Definitely Rosa - strong, simple and elegant. Genevieve is too frilly and fussy for me.

Cbeebiesrehab · 23/09/2019 09:12

Really dislike the nn Gen/Jen so it depends what diminutive you were leaning towards. I like Ginny.
Rosa is pretty, prefer Rose but like the diminutive Rosie for either when they are little. (Big fan of diminutives over here)

MoltoAgitato · 23/09/2019 07:21

Rosa. Don’t understand the love for Genevieve - feels very clumsy to me.

VenusClapTrap · 23/09/2019 07:19

Rosa. I’m not a fan of long fussy names like Genevieve.

Sweetaholic · 23/09/2019 03:02

Genevieve.

LarkDescending · 23/09/2019 02:07

Rosa for me. I don’t like Genevieve.

Astronica · 23/09/2019 00:33

Genevieve - beautiful. Rosa just doesn't appeal to me, though I think Rose is lovely.

midsomermurderess · 22/09/2019 22:51

Rosa. It's elegant whereas Genevieve is quite fussy.

ThingsImighthavedone · 22/09/2019 22:22

Rosa

Milasmummy · 22/09/2019 22:19

Rosa without a doubt

aibutohavethisusername · 22/09/2019 21:48

Rosa

DariaMorgendorffer · 22/09/2019 21:28

Love them both...sorry Blush agree Genevieve has more nn potential.

Joeybee · 22/09/2019 21:24

Genevieve. It's a more versatile name. Rosa is beautiful too though, but there's just not a lot you can do with it, and I'm not sure it would grow with a person as well as Genevieve would.

Treaclebee · 22/09/2019 21:20

Forgot to say why - because I think its a very romantic, feminine, classic but not boring and still a bit unusual, with a couple of nickname options if you or she chooses.
Rosa I think is becoming more popular, but I still think its very feminine and pretty.

Treaclebee · 22/09/2019 21:17

I love both and would use both as first and middle - either way round.
If I had to choose just one, Genevieve.

Proudpeacock · 22/09/2019 21:16

Rosa. DS would have been a Rosa. Strong but simple.

Thrupennybrit · 22/09/2019 21:13

Genevieve.

DramaAlpaca · 22/09/2019 21:10

I know it's not what you asked, but I'd choose Rosa Genevieve as first and middle.

BeanBag7 · 22/09/2019 21:08

I love both!
I would probably go for Rosa because I think a lot of people would have trouble knowing how to spell or pronounce Genevieve.
