This is our boy shortlist. Would love views in which You would go for (with a short one syllable surname if that makes any difference!)

Thanks!

Joshua best for a short surname I think, but I love James (have one too!).. I love Joshua James W...
good luck OP!

I'd pick James or harry, I'm not keen on joshua/josh

Shadow1234 · 20/09/2019 22:39

Joshua!

So many James and Harry's around.

Kanga83 · 20/09/2019 22:36

James. Harry and Henry has been done to death. Joshua is nice, but he'll forever be Josh at school

Joshua!

I find Harry dull

James is nice but I prefer Joshua it just has such a lovely sound

SunshineAngel · 20/09/2019 22:25

I'd actually go for Joshua James (as in first name, middle name) in the hopes he'd get called JJ.

I have no idea if that's cool for kids or not these days!!

MissHenty · 20/09/2019 22:20

Really lovely list of names

I like both James and Joshua

I like James best on its own but I think I prefer Harry with a one syllable surname. Joshua is not quite my thing.

How does the flow work with surname...
I'd go with James.. It would flow nicely with something like wynn for example (only short example I can think of for w that's not white) ... Not keen on Joshua.

Finbarfinbo · 20/09/2019 21:26

Joshua, but I like them all.

Grandmi · 20/09/2019 21:23

Bet it's White. Harry White is too much like Barry White. Not keen on Joshua or Josh.
Love James.

Thanks for replies so far. Surname starts with a W so no names would be alliterative or awkward with S next to each other for example.
