Boy/girl twins. What goes with....

Max.

We thought we had two girls. So had kind of matchy style names (Camille and Claudia) in the pipeline.

Neither of those is the girls' name I love, but I kind of didn't mind because there were two, so it wouldn't be like one had my favourite name over the other. I like both the names, but no more than like.

Now it's turned out they're definitely boy/girl. So the boy will be Max. And I can't think of anything I like other than the name I can't have, now it's only one girls name I need. (It's been what my daughter has always been called in my head for the last 20yrs, and literally a year ago, this bitch who's connected directly to our family stole it, and yes I am fucking bitter) Spam me with names that go with Max please. Help me find something I love...

How on earth did a random woman who your brother shagged know your lifelong chosen name for your (then) mythical daughter?

I really feel for you OP and understand where you are coming from.

I do think, basically, any name goes with Max (love that name btw).

The name that springs to my mind is Isabella, but feel it won’t float your boat?

Icantreachthepretzels · 21/09/2019 00:04

or Justine - which has the 'ine' sound of 'Evangeline'

Icantreachthepretzels · 21/09/2019 00:02

If you like Honor as a curveball - then other virtue names: Hope, Hero, Faith, Joy, Prudence nn Prue.

Sunshinegirl82 · 20/09/2019 23:30

Honoureen

Courtney555 · 20/09/2019 23:24
Hmm

Texted bff... "Thoughts on: Honour. Max"

The "honour max" is a Huawei phone apparently.

I think Honor is a more common spelling. Honoree (with an accent) and Honorine are different French derivatives of the same name and both lovely too.

What about Delphine? I like the French Aurelie better than Aurelia if you would like a French name. I've met an Aurelie-Anne (with the names eliding into each other so it sounds like one name and an Aurelie-Laure. Or Manon or Maelys?

CarefullyDrawnMap · 20/09/2019 23:06

I think Honour would be great. It's really cool, goes well with Max, great vibe to it. Beautiful and kind of heroic too.

SunshineAngel · 20/09/2019 23:05

Max and Daisy is what I like, but I don't know that it will be to your tastes.

Courtney555 · 20/09/2019 23:01

Honour.

That's different. And a curveball. Do we know many Honours? I can't think of any DS has encountered at school....

Anna? Alice?

Or just use Claudia, it's beautiful and goes really well with Max.

When you meet them the name thing won't seem to matter as much. Maybe wait and see what suits her. I have an Anna and it wasn't a name I would have chosen until I met her and it just seemed to suit her. They just become the name they have, you might find you prefer the 'new' name after all once its attached to your baby. I agree there is no way you can use the favourite name so try and let it go with good grace. (Assume it's not grace!!)

PushkinTheCat · 20/09/2019 22:39

Hmm. How about:

Max and Nadia
Max and Anastasia
Max and Lilia
Max and Madeleine
Max and Natalia
Max and Leonora
Max and Aurelia
