Hiya,

Thoughts on the name Ambrose for a boy please?

I don't think it needs a nickname,

Not to my taste (no pun intended).

Nicknames i'm stuck on but that could be a good thing that it doesn't get shortened? what do you think? x

Ones i can think of are: Amby, Brosy, Bo, Bram, Ro :/ not sure lol

I’m not keen. I think of rice too. But I’ve never known anyone with the name. Maybe it could grow on me. Was there one in The Archers? Why would a nickname be needed?

Don't tell me, your OH is called Rhys. Smile

Ambrose is lovely. Much nicer than Emrys.

Lalafelpotato · 18/09/2019 16:49

Emrys is nice, my name is Emma though... Do you think that's too many Em's? lol! xx

The welsh version of Ambrose is Emrys (pron. EM-riss), and is much nicer.

I think it's cute. A bit silly but I think it's a name someone could pull off if you liked them. What are you thinking for nicknames?

Rice
