Lydia and Noah. Definitely!

Fivebeanchilli · 17/09/2019 11:15

I like Lydia.
I don't dislike Bronwyn and I think I could love it if I knew a child with it iykwim. The only one I have ever met was a depressed friend of my mother's so that colours it for me.
Noah is ok, a bit boring and popular.
I really dislike Simon. It was super popular when I was a child (70s) and they all got called Slimy. I can't warm to it at all.

Bloomburger · 17/09/2019 10:22

I like Noah, the other combinations make me think of a Harold & Hilda type of couple.

Bloom, this is Lydia and Simon, I'm faced with 2 40 somethings who look 50 something and enjoy Nordic walking in the Peak District and matching anoraks.

Grufallosfriends · 17/09/2019 10:10

Noah is already starting to sound a little dated. It will continue to fall out of fashion imo.

Enko · 17/09/2019 09:44

Bronwyn and Simon

daisypond · 17/09/2019 07:59

I suspect there might be regional differences as to what seems dated. For me, Noah is dated already. The Noahs I know are in their 20s. It wouldn’t be a name that people would use now for a baby. Simon is bang on/just ahead of the curve. I know a couple of baby and toddler Simons already.

Tweetingmagpie · 16/09/2019 23:23

Simon is awful for a child born nowadays, akin to Keith imo!

123Dancewithme · 16/09/2019 23:21

Lydia and Simon. Noah is trendy and will date.

userabcname · 16/09/2019 19:48

Lydia and Noah

Lydia and Noah

NoSauce · 16/09/2019 18:11

Sorry I don’t care for any of them. Odd pairings imo.

ukel · 16/09/2019 17:11

Sorry for not replying, but I'm glad I have a bunch of peoples opinions. I love Simon and Lydia, DP wants Bronwyn and Noah, not necessarily in those pairs though.

Bronwyn and Noah

daisypond · 16/09/2019 17:04

Lydia and Simon, hands down. Simon is due a revival and Noah is now so dated. Bronwen is OK.

Cheerfullygo4 · 16/09/2019 16:57

Lydia and Simon are lovely. Noah is too popular now and Bronwyn is a lumpy name.

FizzyGreenWater · 16/09/2019 16:50

Not a huge fan of any of the names btw!

Simon and Noah are both ok.

Lydia reminds me of nasty little Lydia Bennet from P&P.

Bronwen is slightly lumpen. Bronwyn even more so.

FizzyGreenWater · 16/09/2019 16:49

Bronwyn sounds unfeminie because it absolutely is! The name is Bronwen.

Wavyheaded · 16/09/2019 14:27

I only like Noah. However Lydia over Bronwyn, though would rather not have either tbh...

Grufallosfriends · 16/09/2019 10:49

Lydia and Simon! How beautiful.

I really don't like Bronwyn - it's so unfeminine. And Noah sounds so soft and like the sound Nooo!

Anerak · 16/09/2019 07:02

Definitely Bronwyn and Noah, how beautiful

MikeUniformMike · 16/09/2019 06:54

Bronwen is lovely. Bronwyn is awful.
Bronwen is welsh. Many welsh names end in -wyn or -wen.
The -wyn names are for boys, and the -wen names are for girls.
Bronwyn isn't a boy's name, it's a misspelt girl's name.

WineIsMyCarb · 16/09/2019 00:16

Lydia is v elegant and posh (nicely so)
Simon is a great name - you never meet a Simon who is a twat.
Doesn't really 'go' with Lydia but I don't think names really do have to 'go'.
Noah is very popular.
Bronwyn is nice. Not as nice as Lydia.

IsobelRae23 · 16/09/2019 00:09

Lydia and Noah but I don’t actually like any of them sorry

IckleBear · 15/09/2019 20:35

Lydia and Noah

I hate it when the OP doesn't come back to respond to people's opinions!
