Erin or Eleanor

Really need to get some opinions on these names.

I named my daughter Erin when she was born but I just can't warm to the name. It wasn't on our list but it just sort of happened. I had spent a lot of time in the hospital prior to giving birth due to complications and I think I just wanted to name her but thinking back it's possible that I've attached lots of negative emotions to the name. Instead I call her baby a lot.

I love the name Eleanor (pronounced with an a at the ends OH prefers it) but it seems like a big step to change the name.

She's 7 months already so need to decide asap.

What do people think of the names and has anyone changed their child's name so late?

I changed my daughter’s name and it was such a huge relief when I did. She’s now 5 & obviously has no memory of it. I used the 2 names together then gradually dropped the old so there was no overnight change either.

I prefer Erin to Eleanor - but only you can decide which one is the best for you.

I know an Eleanor who gets called Ellen most of the time, but I suppose Nora is also an option if you go for the a on the end.

Eleanor/Eleanora is a lovely name. I reckon you should go for it.
