I have a little Florence who usually goes by her full name, or Flossie. I love it! Despite it being popular we haven't yet met another little Florence.

Pcosmama · 11/09/2019 18:06

Ottillie is one of my favourite girls names! I also like Olive a lot, I only know of one Olive and she is early 20s now and didn't get teased as far as I know. Florence is pretty too but feels a little stuffy to me personally.

Congrats on your DD!

Hobbesmanc · 11/09/2019 16:11

Pretty names although if Olive gets Livy everyone will assume she's an Olivia. Plus I thinks it might be getting popular. There was an Olive as a teen lead in the drama Manifest which was a big hit in the US. Florence it gorgeous but hot in the charts. I love Tilly as a shortened Ottille

AverageMummy · 11/09/2019 16:01

Olive is beautiful & elegant
Ottilie is pretty
I’ve never liked Florence or understood the appeal

Clayplease · 11/09/2019 15:30

They're all lovely. We choseFlorence as a middle name as I didn't like the nicknames. Olive is great and I also love Ottilie with Tilly as nickname.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 11/09/2019 12:11

Congratulations!

Olive

Sophronia · 11/09/2019 12:09

Florence.

Olive is ok but Ottilie is awful.

Nonmerci · 11/09/2019 10:09

My favourite is Olive but also love Ottilie.

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 11/09/2019 10:05

The first one, the other two are very popular

MrsBertBibby · 11/09/2019 09:51

Olive is great. Florence is very good.

Ottilie is dreadful, really twee, affected and cutesy.

user1493494961 · 11/09/2019 09:46

Florence.

NoSauce · 11/09/2019 09:38

Florence by far, I think it’s a beautiful name.

Ottilie is just utterly to me. Olive is frumpy.

MissHenty · 11/09/2019 09:29

Florence is my favourite

It’s gorgeous. The most popular of the three for a reason but I’ve actually not come across one in the past 3 years at playgroups

Excellent nn potential too

I love all three names on your listv

Ellabella989 · 11/09/2019 08:27

Florence

shiveringtimber · 11/09/2019 08:23

Congratulations! Florence is my favourite of the three. Have you considered Olivia?

AutumnalLeaves38 · 11/09/2019 08:23

though admittedly Swan Lake may swing you to preferring Odette...

AutumnalLeaves38 · 11/09/2019 08:20

Flowers Congratulations on your DD's safe arrival!

Love Ottilie (also Odile is beautiful)

Equimum · 11/09/2019 08:15

Florence
Ottilie
Olive.

I’m not a fan of Olive, but love the others.

DottieLottie1 · 11/09/2019 08:04

As a pop has already mentioned the spelling of Ottilie is questionable. If you can't get it right OP I'd avoid...

diddlediddle · 11/09/2019 07:33

All nice names.

But:

Florence is quite popular, I feel like it's overdone. When I hear people choose Florence I think, they're trying to be vintage and original but they're not. Sorry...

Ottilie. Very popular in some pockets (posh ones) but overall not that well known. Probably get misspelled? I don't personally love girls names ending in ie as I find it a bit twee.

Olive - love this. I think it's chic classic and beautiful without being common.

daisypond · 11/09/2019 07:26

Olive. A bit quirky and cool.
Florence. Victorian classic, possibly heading out of style but nice

Ottilie- horrid. Otterly utterly.

Peanutbuttericecream · 11/09/2019 07:22

I don’t like any of them, sorry.

notso · 11/09/2019 07:21

Olive
Florence
Ottilie.

knittedgoldfish · 11/09/2019 07:19

Olive

LarkDescending · 11/09/2019 07:08

Florence for me - really beautiful, and I like Flory/Florrie for short.
