Is this name made-up?

The name is
Annabeth
I love it, don’t like anything else but it has the red dots underneath when you type it and the person I mentioned it to said it sounded ‘nice but made up’

I've never heard of that name before, so maybe it is made up - but aren't all names? I like it, it's pretty :)

I'm the biggest snob about American names but I really love Annabeth. I think it's got a traditional deep south feel and agree that Anna combines well with different endings. Annabelle is boring in comparison. Don't double barrell it though- I like it as a full name.

You can combine Anna with so many names
Anneliese
Annegret
Annabel
Annarose
Annamaria
Annasophia
Annabeth

So yes, it works well and sounds pretty

It's made up as in it's two traditional names put together and to be honest it's not a very interesting name.

People have been combining popular names like Anne, Mary, Elizabeth for ever - eg Annemarie, Maryanne, Anneliese. Annabeth is a nice name and I think you can use it with confidence.

As it is, Anna Beth is super 90s and a bit boring in my opinion, you can put it together as one name, but it's really just two blah names.
But If you love it who cares, someone's always going to disagree with you, you do you.

I really don't like it... I really dislike Beth though! Anna is okay though and I imagine it'd get shortened to that anyway.

Annabeth is easy to say and spell, so if you love it, why not?!

I agree it sounds very American south, it’s not to my taste but it’s nice enough. I definitely wouldn’t think anything critical if I met a child with this name.

It's one of the main characters from the Percy Jackson books/films, but she's a goodie.
