He'd be a brother for Dexter. What do you think? DP and I love this name, with Bo as a nn.

Interested to hear the general consensus!

Lovely name. It's means "awakening" or "enlightened" so I hope you don't raise a stolid child or a criminal.

Like lewis collins in the professionals Grin

MrBobLobLaw · 01/09/2019 20:46

@BettyBizzghetti I like Bo as a standalone name but it's kinda B.O-ish and also my friend said it reminded her of Bo selecta! Also wanted a 'long' name for him too. DP doesn't like Beau Hmm

I do think it's too important in Buddhism to use it if you aren't. Like calling a child Ramadan if you're Christian or Jesus if you're an atheist.

But it sounds nice.

@Anothertempusername Grin hadn't though of that! Potential for playground teasing there I guess then.

That’s quite sweet actually!

BettyBizzghetti · 01/09/2019 20:41

I assumed it was pronounced Body. Why not just Bo, or Beau?

MrBobLobLaw · 01/09/2019 20:41

Neither of us are Buddhist @MrsTerryPratchett

Very sorry but sounds too much like bogey to me.

Waggily · 01/09/2019 20:39

I think it’s going to be a popular name. I know three under one.

MrBobLobLaw · 01/09/2019 20:39

Pronounced Bow-dee @IAmcuriousyellow

Are you Buddhist?

DramaAlpaca · 01/09/2019 20:38

It's not my style but if you both love it that's all that counts, really. It goes with Dexter nicely.

xsamix86 · 01/09/2019 20:37

I actually really like it! Very unusual and unique

IAmcuriousyellow · 01/09/2019 20:37

How do you pronounce it?
