After narrowing our list down we have come to 3 names we agree on by can’t decide on which to go for . I am struggling with them all for different reasons and none feel quite right. What do you all think of the following ?

Elizabeth
Alexandra
Catherine

Any other names along those lines that we may like?

Alexandra is my favourite out of those 3!

Alex doesn't have to be her nn necessarily, you could go for Al, Als, Ally, Alex, Alexa, Lex, Lexa, Lexi (although Lexi is defo not my fave!)

emilybrontescorsett · 01/09/2019 22:14

I like them all.

BrokenHeartedAndBruised · 31/08/2019 20:54

Elizabeth but all three are nice

Smile19 · 31/08/2019 17:26

All lovely OP. Great choices. Can't do wrong.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 31/08/2019 14:54

Alexandra of your list. I like Catherine but prefer the Kathryn spelling.

lljkk · 31/08/2019 14:53

Probably Catherine is my most fave name ever.

TidyDancer · 31/08/2019 14:38

All your names are lovely but Alexandra is the most beautiful I think.

Sophronia · 31/08/2019 11:51

Catherine Jennifer sounds good.

PurBal · 31/08/2019 07:25

I like them all! Good choices.

Verily1 · 31/08/2019 06:57

Alexandra because there are so many good nicknames.

HeronLanyon · 30/08/2019 22:50

Have always loved Catherine. Strong and pretty and classic and timeless kind of name. Lots of nn potential but the most likely to be used in full also.
Also Elizabeth.
Alexandra I like but it is by far the most likely never to be used in full and always shortened. Not a problem in itself.
Congrats.

Bonnie
Bernadette
Tilly

Talkwhilstyouwalk · 30/08/2019 21:41

Alexandra!! Fabulous strong names in its own right with lots of nickname options. My daughter is an Alexandra, yet to meet any others at baby/toddler groups!

Notrobusta · 30/08/2019 20:28

I guess picking one out of a hat is a good idea. It will tell us how we really feel about the name too. Thanks everyone . Some new names to ponder.

They are all lovely, and all equally classic and beautiful - just pick one at random. Can't go wrong with these names. My personal favourite is probably Catherine.

kittlesticks · 30/08/2019 18:48

I've got a newborn Alexandra so I'm slightly biased! It suits her well we think. Congrats!

Morado · 30/08/2019 17:59

Elizabeth and Catherine are long really dull.
Alexandra is nicer but it's also long and always gets shortened to Alex, which is fine I guess.

Love Catherine or Katherine
Like Alexandra
Elizabeth is OK

Shadow1234 · 30/08/2019 16:33

Out of the three I would choose Elizabeth becUse it has so many nn options - Eliza being my favourite

PrincessLouis · 30/08/2019 15:41

I like all three. If you are set on Jennifer a shorter name might flow better? Short classic name ideas:
Anne / Anna
Jane
Rose
Grace
Mary

Or if you like longer:
Beatrice
Annabel
Margaret
Georgina / Georgiana

Timeaftertime42 · 30/08/2019 15:32

Elizabeth is my favourite.
Then Catherine.

Not keen on Alexandra.

FantasticPhyllis · 30/08/2019 15:27

Josephine

Rainbowqueeen · 30/08/2019 11:51

Elizabeth is my favourite as I love all the nicknames for it too

Alexandra Jennifer sounds a bit clunky
