Shepherd. What are your thoughts? Is it usable as a first or middle name?

I'm thinking of names like Callum Shepherd? Is it too out there?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Nope.

PurpleDaisies · 29/08/2019 17:07

Awful.

I know a Shepard (spelled like that Confused).
It's not a good name.

foreverblessed makes a valid point. Poor wee Shepherd would never get to play Joseph. He'd be typecast aged five.

Having said that, I do know an elderly chap called Shepherd. I think he was named for his mother's maiden name. Suits him.

Finding lesser used boys names is really hard... Well, I guess that's a pass on Shepherd being a name that could be taken seriously. Grin

As a first name??? I dont like it. Not sure why you would have it as a middle name either tbh , op. It's an occupation or a B part in a school nativity.

HeadintheiClouds · 29/08/2019 16:45

As a Christian name?! Of course not, it’s awful. It’s actually my maiden name.

MaidenMotherCrone · 29/08/2019 16:45

It's not a name. It's a job description.
What about Mechanic, plumber, farmer, milkman?
