Hi!

Is Sasha a boy's name or girl's name for you?

Lovely name.
(As, for that matter, is Tasha as a standalone as well as obviously a Natasha diminutive)

Have known boys with the Sacha and Sasha spellings: nice either way, but think I prefer the second for a girl.

katesalwayslate · 29/08/2019 15:33

Both. In the UK I’ve seen it mostly on girls but still suits boys.

BigusBumus · 29/08/2019 15:16

Sasha is a girl. Sacha is a boy. To me anyway.... Always loved the name for both sexes.

Also love Saskia for a girl.

Girl for me

Good! Thanks for your inputs.
I know it's originally Sacha for a boy.
But I really prefer it as Sasha for a girl.

Either

Quite a common Indian name for girls, and because it works well in European countries too it’s a good name for those of mixed heritage.

I initially thought girl.

MarciaMarciaMarcia · 29/08/2019 14:43

Both, but I prefer it for a girl.

MargoLovebutter · 29/08/2019 14:41

Lovely name - could be male or female.

CassianAndor · 29/08/2019 14:38

both, prefer it as a boy's. Diminutive of Alexander in Russia.

daisypond · 29/08/2019 14:37

I know both but I see it as a girl’s name predominantly. Otherwise it’s a Russian short form of Alexander.

EdithWeston · 29/08/2019 14:37

Boys name, basically

Like Charlie. Can be used on a girl, but the norm would be a boy.

Especially when you are in a diverse area with a largish Eastern European community.

Ohyesiam · 29/08/2019 14:36

Both, it’s a diminutive of Alexander/Alexandra.

AravisTarkheena · 29/08/2019 14:36

Both but personally I prefer it on a boy.

BethanyGilbert · 29/08/2019 14:35

Boys name. Sacha
