Middle name for Billie

Tstevens · 28/08/2019 21:19

We go for two middle names over here and Billie is my first favourite name at the moment
Think Cathryn for the second middle name for a family tradition so any ideas for the first?
So Billie Cathryn
I was thinking Mae or Rae but not sure if it sounds a bit common
What do you think + other suggestions
Thanks!

I really don’t like Billie
It’s even worse with Rae or Mae. Sounds like an American white trash stripper

Sparklysunflower · 01/09/2019 16:24

I like Billie for s girl! Billie Cathryn works just fine, you so rarely use middle names anyway.

For a boy Bill might work but Billie/Billie seems much more feminine

Clayplease · 01/09/2019 15:04

I love Billie for a girl!

Mumshappy · 29/08/2019 08:55

I don't like Billie for a girl. Like Billy for a boy.

burntthepasta · 29/08/2019 08:47

LorelaiRoryEmily · 29/08/2019 08:44

@pikapikachu Billy Rat Cyrus. I snorted at that😂

Tstevens · 29/08/2019 06:43

Mae and Rae are really common (sorry) but Billie and Cathryn are lovely (although I prefer the Catherine spelling). I think it sounds much nicer with Catherine first and then a one syllable name after, like Billie Catherine Rose is beautiful.

My grandad Billie had Thomas as his middle name.

It’s not great for a girl.

pikapikachu · 28/08/2019 22:08

Don't go for Billie Rae- people will think of Billy Rat Cyrus.

UrsulaPandress · 28/08/2019 22:08

I know a Billie Rose.

myrtleWilson · 28/08/2019 22:05

Nothing too old fashioned either
The Jane Ruth maeve etc don’t really do it for me

Or it doesn’t really have to be one syllable but that follows the same tune to my other daughters full name

OP posts:
Tstevens · 28/08/2019 21:38

It would be the other way round
So Billie - one syllable name - then Cathryn
