Clara, Ailsa and Harriet are my favourites Smile

bxbynxmelxver4 · 19/11/2021 22:58

I like Charlotte and Clara the best

FlamingoDust · 18/11/2021 20:57

And Saoirse

FlamingoDust · 18/11/2021 20:56

Love Clara

FayCarew · 18/11/2021 11:49

Charlotte (Lottie) - ok
Clara - don't like at all
Harriet - ok
Saoirse - only if in Ireland
Alexis - really like and only know one, she's older than to have been names after the Dynasty character, but people might think she's a boy
Ailsa - it has grown on me, but might be very popular in Scotland, if that's an issue

I'd ditch Soirse and Clara

I'd probably choose Harriet

Love Saoirse, but felt our Irish connections were a little too distant to use it for DD.

RebeccaRae · 29/08/2019 10:31

I'd never heard the Seer-sha pronunciation but I've done a quick google and it looks like it's a subject of fierce debate!

Saoirse is my favorite. Is it not pronounced Seer-sha though?

IckleBear · 29/08/2019 09:20

Alessia
Rosa

Charlotte (Lottie) : very dull, hate Lottie
Clara : quite dull
Harriet : meh. Overused
Saoirse : lovely. Use this!
Alexis : nice but Lexi is awful
Ailsa : ugly

I would have used Nina and Edith, but no girls.

BelfortGabbz · 28/08/2019 23:25

All nice apart from Harriet.

formerbabe · 28/08/2019 09:48

Charlotte (Lottie) lovely but very popular
Clara nice enough
Harriet really dislike, one of my least favourite names but very popular on mn.
Saoirse never heard it before but love it
Alexis love
Ailsa love

emilybrontescorsett · 28/08/2019 09:45

Charlotte.

RebeccaRae · 28/08/2019 09:43

Thanks so much for your feedback everyone, and also for so many lovely suggestions - I've liked every one so far!

Harriet.

And what about Clare? I think it’s much better than Clara.

Allyo19 · 28/08/2019 09:34

It's a very similar list to mine. What about Felicity? Also like pp's suggestions of Matilda and Tabitha.

itssquidstella · 28/08/2019 09:25

Charlotte (Lottie) - I like Lottie as a nickname but Charlotte is quite common (in the sense of widely-used), which puts me off
Clara - love it
Harriet - not to my taste but objectively a lovely name
Saoirse - fab, my favourite
Alexis - makes me think of Joan Collins in Dynasty!
Ailsa - really dislike

user1493494961 · 28/08/2019 09:16

Charlotte, Clara or Harriet, don't like the others. (The potential Lexi shortening is awful)

katesalwayslate · 28/08/2019 09:09

Charlotte (Lottie) is beautiful and timeless but very popular.
Clara is also beautiful and vintage but with a cooler vibe
Harriet is a nice solid name
Saoirse is a great name for a little girl - strong and with a great meaning
I don’t like Alexis and I don’t know how to say the other one!

daisypond · 28/08/2019 08:55

Charlotte (Lottie) - not keen.
Clara- ok but a Victorian style name, so maybe already dated.
Harriet- dull
Saoirse -ok
Alexis - prefer Alexandra
Ailsa - my favourite. Unusual these days.

joystir59 · 28/08/2019 08:22

All lovely names. Well done OP!

Petrichor11 · 28/08/2019 08:18

I love Charlotte and Saoirse

Peachbubble · 28/08/2019 08:17

Charlotte, Clara and Harriet from your list. How about
Clementine
Tabitha
Rosalie
Allegra
