Rate our girls names please

This is our list of girls names but I can’t say one jumps out at us and that we are totally sold on it. What do you like? Help!

Elizabeth
Camilla
Marina
Francesca
Romilly

Romilly I love this, I suggested it for dd but dh vetoed it.
Henrietta no
Annabel getting popular and not keen.

How about Rosalie, Adelaide or Juliet.

Beatrice - I feel like I should love this but not sure why I don’t feel it
Elizabeth - don’t like this but Libby & Beth are lovely nicknames
Camilla - like this a lot although I love Camille more
Marina - dislike
Francesca - dislike
Romilly - quite nice although very different to your other choices
Henrietta - I quite like this - love Hetty
Annabel - nice

Your whole list is lovely though. Others that you might like:

They are all excellent names though I'm not mad about 'Camilla'.
It makes a change to see a list of quite classic names.

In order, I prefer:

Henrietta
Annabel
Beatrice
Elizabeth
Camilla
Francesca
Marina
Romilly

I don't like Marina or Romilly at all. The rest are all good to fine.

Beatrice I like but prefer Beatrix (love bea)

I also like marina both I considered for our DD

Not keen on the others I'm afraid but that's just personal taste and choice

Henrietta could be NN Hattie.

Ex really liked the name (Hattie, that is). Didn't happen, as it didn't suit her, but it wasn't instantly dismissable.

As I was a child with a stammer, I'd think that Romilly could be quite difficult for some kids to say with that or a lisp - you might end up changing from Womlee to Millie.

I have a Francesca...... although we've shortened it to Frankie.
I think it's beautiful 😍 but I'm biased

Elizabeth and Francesca are both lovely, classy names. Personally, I’m not keen on the others in your list. Do any go particularly well with your surname?

Francesca or Elizabeth. Elizabeth has lots of potential shortenings, I think I would go with this.

I love them all except Annabel, and that’s still fine. I’m hard pushed for a favourite. Camilla and Marina are both particularly lovely. I know teenagers called every name on your list, and they all have good connotations to me.

Beatrice - too many royal associations
Elizabeth - ditto
Camilla - ditto
Marina - love it! Definitely the best.
Francesca - pleasant; consider what it would be shortened to - Frankie?
Romilly - Really, really, really awful.
Henrietta - okay - nn Henry?
Annabel - okay - nn Bella??

My favourites are Francesca (would definitely consider if I were to have a dd3) and Annabel

I also really like Beatrice

I really don't like Romilly or Camilla

Beatrice - ok if you love the royal family. Quite pretentious
Elizabeth - lovely classic name
Camilla - as above - ok if you love the royal family. Horrible Middle Aged name otherwise
Marina - place where you store boats
Francesca - nice name. It will get shortened to Fran so you’ll need to like that name too
Romilly - my phone says this is a typo
Henrietta - I like it. I also like Hetty for short
Annabel - nice but very popular

I like all of the names and if we had to pick tomorrow it would be one of these I suppose I just don't know which one I like the most.

I am hoping heading other people's views and suggestions will help me Smile

Really don’t like Romilly, marina or Henrietta. Francesca is the nicest one on your list imo.

I like Beatrice (although alternative Beatrix) and annabel best, although probably prefer Arabella as something a little different. My name is Elizabeth and I don’t really like it, although I like Liz well enough. Other alternatives are Bethany and Elsbeth if you wanted something a little different Smile good luck choosing
