Forgot to add, I’d go for Chloe or Lola :)

forevercurious · 05/09/2019 20:27

Frances - strongly dislike
Evie - very popular
Eva - very popular
Eve - very popular
Maddie - I like the name Madison with the nn Maddie.
Chloe - a pretty name, I only know one Chloe who is 4.
Lola - I like this but I think it’s gaining popularity.
Olivia - very popular
Evelyn - very popular but could use Eve / Evie as a nn
Honey - I know a Honey, she is a gorgeous child who pulls off her name but I’m unsure of how it would work for an adult.

KronksSpinachPuffs · 05/09/2019 19:48

Frances - not keen
Evie - not keen
Eva - ok
Eve - ok
Maddie - eh I like longer versions of maddie but maddie itself is a bit American sounding for me
Chloe - nice
Lola - nice but I do think it sounds quite bad in some accents. Eg i know someone from north Yorkshire with a daughter called lola and she pronounces it "lerler" which isnt nice!
Olivia - pretty
Evelyn - i dont dislike this but i dont understand why it's so popular
Honey - you know what I dont hate this! Quite like it. I think fern cottons daughter is called honey

I'd probably go for Olivia or lola

courtlee · 05/09/2019 15:34

Lola and Honey are my favourites

Makesmilingyourbesthobby · 05/09/2019 15:28

I have a Chloe and only child called Chloe I know around here, love Olivia love Maddie and Eva Evie etc

MissHenty · 05/09/2019 15:21

I love the name Olivia and haven’t actually met another through 3 years of playgroups!!

Honey sounds like a p*rn star but I like all the rest of your names. In my experience, children can shorten Frances to Frannie (rhymes with.... 😬)

Sorry OP, meant to post as a separate thread Blush

Frances - no
Evie - prefer Eve or Evelyn as they are stronger names.
Eva - nice and a great middle name
Eve - like it
Maddie - like it as an abbreviation for Madeleine
Chloe - bit weak
Lola - weak and soppy, don't like it
Olivia - Love it!!!
Evelyn - like it a lot
Honey - hate it

RebeccaRae · 29/08/2019 08:27

Frances - like it
Evie - bit nicknamey
Eva - nice
Eve - nice
Maddie - this is a nickname. Christen her Madeleine (which is lovely) and call her Maddie for short
Chloe - don't like / bit dated
Lola - don't like
Olivia - very nice but very popular (if that bothers you!)
Evelyn - lovely
Honey - behave yourself

Poetryinaction · 29/08/2019 08:17

Frances - nice, a bit stuffy, do you love France?
Evie - boring now
Eva - more classy and classic. Like it.
Eve - pretty, more religious
Maddie -ok
Chloe - very 90s
Lola - short for Dolores meaning pain
Olivia - stunning
Evelyn - beautiful
Honey - horrible

katesalwayslate · 29/08/2019 04:50

Also love Lola and Honey

AlpacaGoodnight · 28/08/2019 21:28

Like Lola and Honey!

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 28/08/2019 18:08

Frances. Love this, but only it is entirety. Really dislike Frankie. That’s the only reason I personally wouldn’t use it.
Evie. Irritates me,
Eva Gorgeous and classy.
Eve. Too plain.
Maddie. I like Madeleine but Maddie is dreadful.
Chloe. I love this. Very pretty. Not that many baby Chloe’s around now, are there.
Lola. I’ll go as far as to say The worse girls name ever.
Olivia. Adore this. Yes it’s extremely popular, and Yes she’ll probably be one of 4 in her class, but it’s not faddy. It suits all ages and people from all walks of life. What’s not to love
Evelyn. ReAlly don’t get the hype over this one.
Honey. Awful.

MrsGilly1 · 28/08/2019 10:39

Frances - it nice but not a name I would pick.
Evie - cute but as a nickname, I'd have Evelyn on birth certificate.
Eva - cute
Eve - not keen
Maddie - cute as nickname but would have Madeleine and use Maddie as a nickname.
Chloe - it ok but not overly keen.
Lola - not keen
Olivia - lovely
Evelyn - lovely
Honey - not a name I would call a child, more a name for a pet.

You may like the name Elodie x

bridgetreilly · 26/08/2019 09:05

Evelyn nn Evie.

AverageMummy · 26/08/2019 08:56

Frances - nice
Evie - ok
Eva - ok
Eve - nice
Maddie - Madeleine is lovely
Chloe - nice
Lola - dislike
Olivia - lovely
Evelyn - ok
Honey - erm no !

MrsBertBibby · 26/08/2019 08:55

Frances: nice but all the nicknames are horrid, esp Fran
Evie : not a real name
Eva : nice but a bit overused
Eve : ditto
Maddie: not a real name. Twee!
Chloe : nice but so overused recently
Lola : dog/porn name
Olivia : overused
Evelyn : not wild about it
Honey : awful!

IckleBear · 26/08/2019 08:44

I like Evelyn

BikeRunSki · 26/08/2019 08:27

Frances - like it
Evie - v popular
Eva - v popular
Eve - better, nut likely to be nicknamed Evie
Maddie - abbreviation of Madeleine
Chloe - I like it
Lola - ... she was a showgirl....., .... walked lie a woman and talked like a man...
Olivia - so popular it hardly serves to identify people at all.
Evelyn - Nice
Honey - is this actually a name?

Cbeebiesrehab · 26/08/2019 08:20

My daughter is Evelyn on her BC. It gets a lot of hate on MN but I have genuinely, hand on heart, have never met another one! (Well, a child one anyway) Maybe they all go by Evie? Anyway, that is my favourite on your list. I think Honey is sweet (pun intended) for a baby/toddler but might not be great for a surly teenager.

Peachbubble · 26/08/2019 08:15

All (apart from Frances and Honey) are very overused atm, which puts me off them.
Frances is OK, Francesca is nicer.
Honey just reminds me of the Eastenders character.

diddlediddle · 25/08/2019 22:44

I agree they're all meh and v popular on the whole (esp the boards of Evie/Eva/Evelyns).

Lola is ok but what about Lila? I think it's prettier.

Olivia is obviously far too popular but what about Olive?

Chloe is alright. Cleo?

LollyBmummy3 · 25/08/2019 22:15

Frances - old fashioned
Evie - nice
Eva - over used
Eve - nice
Maddie - don’t like, but I like Madeline
Chloe - a little dated
Lola - not sure
Olivia - overused
Evelyn - nice and not over used
Honey - cute, but not sure if it suits an adult
🍀💕

missmouse101 · 25/08/2019 22:01

Chloe and Honey are nice. The rest are just boring apart from Maddie and Evelyn which are hideous. (Sorry!)
