I also think that 'Remy' with a y is the male spelling and with an i is the female spelling.

It's for both boys and girls...i know two seperate people with one of both sexes and they called their child Remy Rae

I don't mind it. I used to see it only as a French boy's name but have come across it for a girl a few times in recent years and it has grown on me.
