What name could have this as nn?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Dogs name,

OkPedro · 24/08/2019 04:28

Coco should only be used as a NN surely?
I wonder if any parent considers their child when they’re naming them.. I hear people say your baby your choice but what about the child/teenager/adult? I tried to give my children names that will carry through from childhood to adulthood. Names like poppy, daisy and coco sound ridiculous after the age of 1

Sadie789 · 24/08/2019 04:23

We had Coco as our name for the whole pregnancy (not a nn just the main name although if it were up to me I’d have had Colette as the full name) but we got so many meh responses and confused faces from friends and relatives I chickened out and went for a traditional name last minute.

Still love Coco though and if I was a braver more out there style cool mom I would have gone for it!!

Robbie Williams has a Colette nicknamed Coco.

I like it, but I'm reserving it for my first dog. Nice name, but suits a dog better IMHO.

hazandduck · 24/08/2019 03:43

Love Coco! One of my favourite names but DH won’t let me use it :(
I know a Corinne who is nicknamed Coco, she’s mid twenties.

Mexicoco · 24/08/2019 03:27

In Mexico it's short for Socorro (which means help in English)

rachelgrace · 24/08/2019 03:01

Snoopy90 · 23/08/2019 23:15

Cherry Healey and Terri Seymour both have daughters named Coco (I don't think they have longer names, just Coco).

Constantlurker · 23/08/2019 22:04

I know a Corina who has always been called Coco. It's very cute!

lalag · 23/08/2019 22:03

Robs20 · 23/08/2019 22:00

Love it! I have always wanted to call my next dd this name and wondered what it could be a nn for.

AlpacaGoodnight · 23/08/2019 21:58

The only one I know is just Coco, not short for anything. I like it!

daisypond · 23/08/2019 21:55

Colette. Nicolette. Corinne. Corinna. I know a teenage Coco, not short for anything.

Zampa · 23/08/2019 21:53

The only Coco I know is a Constance but I'd prefer Connie as a nickname for Constance tbh.

proudmudda · 23/08/2019 21:49

I know a coco, she's Shaun Ryders daughter and a chip off the old block. I say go for it :)

WatcherintheRye · 23/08/2019 21:46

Why have it as a nn? My fantasy triplets we're going to be called Coco, Lulu and Mimi! Grin

FrownPrincess · 23/08/2019 21:46

I know two.

Colette
Corinne

Both French, the first one elderly and the second one middle-aged.

How about Cornelia? It lends itself to Coco and also Nell ... both great nicknames

100timewforgotten · 23/08/2019 21:44

There is a Coco in my eldest's class at school. I quite like it.

WelcomeToGreenvale · 23/08/2019 21:39

I knew a Chloe who was always Coco.

31RueCambon · 23/08/2019 21:29

Gabrielle

campion · 23/08/2019 21:27
