Hi, this is my third thread asking for name help for my triplets who will be coming this week! We can’t decide whether to go for a Spanish theme (as my side of the family is Spanish) or not so please rate the names below to help us come to a decision:

Boys:
Mateo
Thomas
Brody
Diego
Max

Girls:
Aurora
Liliana
Logan
Inès
Ivy
Maia
Anais
Violet
Leila
Isla

Please feel free to suggest more name as there is not one name the whole family has agreed on yet Confused Smile

Wow - triplets that’s amazing, I agree with the comment about it being such a remarkable thing that they will be looked upon in awe for many years but I don’t think this should affect the naming process really, choose the names you love...here’s my opinions on your list -

Boys:
Mateo - I quite like this
Thomas - not too keen
Brody - this feels very Americanised
Diego - not too keen
Max - absolutely love Max! :-)

Girls:
Aurora - gorgeous
Liliana - pretty and nice to have a ‘full’ name if you call her Lily for nn
Logan - this is a boys name to me
Ines - this is absolutely beautiful, I think with your heritage you shouldn’t pass up being able to use such a lovely name
Ivy - pretty name it’s becoming very popular though
Maia - nice but I prefer the spelling with a y
Anais - very pretty
Violet - not too keen it sounds too much like violent to me
Leila - a little dated
Isla - pretty but overused

BackforGood thank you, your post is really helpful. However, the middle names are going to be similar to Rosie Jade (makes alomg those lines) as we lost a daughter a few years back called Rosie Jade and we’d like to incorporate her name into theirs as they never got to meet their sister.

I think, being triplets, will make them stand out quite a lot, and have that fact commented on, throughout life (up to 18) wherever they go, so I would go for names that are easy for the overwhelming population in the country they are growing up in, so they don't have to start explaining their names (and the history), after they've already had to let people know they are triplets and answered those peoples inane questions.

So, if you will be living in the UK, I'd be inclined to go with the names that come easiest to the British, and go for traditionally Spanish middle names. If you are living in Spain, I would go for the traditionally Spanish names as first names, and put the English heritage side in as their middles names.

Best wishes for your new arrivals.

Aww... I want triplets! Good luck to you x

Mateo - lovely
Thomas - lovely
Brody - too American/common
Diego - fine if you give the others Spanish names, but would be strange if the other two were called Ivy and Thomas, if you see what I mean...
Max - lovely

Girls:
Aurora - lovely
Liliana - a bit frilly for my taste, but nothing fundamentally wrong with it
Logan - fine for a boy; awful and common for a girl
Inès - lovely
Ivy - lovely
Maia - a little boring, but ok
Anais - lovely
Violet - lovely
Leila - lovely
Isla - far too popular at the moment; the Emily of the day
