Hi, this is my third thread asking for name help for my triplets who will be coming this week! We can’t decide whether to go for a Spanish theme (as my side of the family is Spanish) or not so please rate the names below to help us come to a decision:

Boys:
Mateo
Thomas
Brody
Diego
Max

Girls:
Aurora
Liliana
Logan
Inès
Ivy
Maia
Anais
Violet
Leila
Isla

Please feel free to suggest more name as there is not one name the whole family has agreed on yet Confused Smile

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Thought it would be useful if I added that our surname begins with a H and has three syllables and our other children are:
Step-daughter Louise
Isabella (9)
Emily (9)
Charlie (6)
Eilidh (5)

SleepingStandingUp Mateo has been a definite for the boy since the start of July, everyone loves it

SleepingStandingUp · 19/08/2019 08:14

once you’ve had one set of multiples the likelihood of having another increases
I'm never having sex again once I have these babies - pregnant with twins makes 3 babies. I do NOT want 6 😂😂

SleepingStandingUp · 19/08/2019 08:12

Boys
Mateo - this for the definite boy
Brody - 2nd boy
Max - 3rd boy
Not keen on the rest at all

Girls:
Aurora - top girl
Maia - second girl
Liliana, Violet and Isla are lovely if you have any more 😂

Bouncingbelle · 19/08/2019 08:06

Ines is beautiful & one of my favourite names. Maia also works well with both British/Spanish heritage.i do know 2 girls called Logan so its v much a girls name to me. I would also suggest Giovanna.
Like all your boys list and would add Jorge to it.
Good luck!

tripletmum8 · 19/08/2019 07:57

I’m aware a lot of people would say no to Logan, I’ve met female Logan’s and it’s definitely a name that you have to meet a girl with it to like.

stucknoue 34, scheduled for Thursday but been told to keep an open mind it could be earlier. Hopefully not today because it’s my step-daughters sister on her mums side birthday and she doesn’t want to have to split herself between two houses for her siblings birthdays

Mateo and Ines are my faves from your lists. I would struggle to pick a third if it was another boy but I like most of your girls names. Not Logan.

stucknoue · 19/08/2019 07:26

Apart from Logan being a boys name then only name I dislike are Brodie. I would chose 2 names with different sound endings eg one ending "ee" eg Ivy, one ending "a" eg Aurora and one something else eg Thomas or Mateo, it helps them be individuals. Best wishes and will be thinking of you - how many weeks did you get to, my friends triplets were born at 29, they were so small and were in hospital for 3 months but start university in 4 weeks!

whattodo2019 · 19/08/2019 07:15

Max
Ines
Aurora

Vasya · 19/08/2019 06:58

Absolutely love all of them except Brody and Logan. One of the nicest lists I've seen on mumsnet!

Phillipa12 · 19/08/2019 06:43

Is true incontrol my grandmother had 6 siblings, 3 sets of non id twins!

Vivi890 · 19/08/2019 06:36

Boys:
Mateo - nice
Thomas - boring
Brody - nice
Diego - quite cute but very Spanish - might seem odd with the wrong mix of sibling names
Max - cute but popular

Girls:
Aurora - nice
Liliana - bit too frilly
Logan - isn’t this a boys name?
ines - nice
Ivy - nice but very common at the moment
Maia - nice sound but she’d be one of 1000 in her school
Anais - nice but I’d be worried about playground bullies and it’s close proximity to the word anus
Violet - lovely
Leila - no
Isla - nice but super common

AverageMummy · 18/08/2019 23:28

Xavier & Luis are others you might like

AverageMummy · 18/08/2019 23:26

Mateo - really cool
Thomas - lovely
Brody - terrible sorry
Diego - terrible
Max - lovely

Girls:
Aurora - never been a fan as I find the pronunciation always confuses me
Liliana - love
Logan - awful
Ines - love
Ivy - love
Maia - ok
Anais - love
Violet - ok prefer Viola
Leila - nice
Isla - nice

I rarely like so much of someone’s list!

Poetryinaction · 18/08/2019 23:20

Mateo - love it
Thomas - love it
Brody - too American to me
Diego - love it
Max - ok
Aurora - nice
Liliana - ok
Logan - what? No!
Inès - very nice
Ivy - ok
Maia - nice
Anais - lively
Violet - I don't like it, sounds dusty like parma violets, makes me think of old ladies
Leila - nice
Isla - boring

Good luck!! 8 kids wow x

Girl-Violet
Or
Boys Max, Diego and Carlos.

SinkGirl · 18/08/2019 22:32

I take it your twins are dizygotic / non-identical? Are your triplets all from separate eggs? You’re some kind of superhero. My DH joked I was having triplets before my first scan and I thought it was very unfunny - the twins were a total shock

incontrol if you’ve previously had a multiples pregnancy involving more than one egg (rather than monozygotic / identical twins from one egg) your chance of having another multiple pregnancy is much higher. This is why non-identical twins can run on the mothers side of the family (as they can pass on the tendency to release more than one egg per cycle).

user1493494961 · 18/08/2019 22:28

A combination of Thomas, Max or Arthur. Ivy, Violet, or Isla. Really dislike Brodie and Logan.

tripletmum8 · 18/08/2019 22:27

silver1977 we’ve always wanted the genders to be a surprise. However, as we already have 4 daughters (5 if you count my step-daughter) and 1 son - no we were not planning any more children - we asked if at least one baby was a boy because my son was very worried about getting 3 more sisters and if it did turn out to be 3 girls we would rather he had a few months to come to terms with having 8 sisters. Anyway, we know one baby is a boy but we don’t know what the other two are.

@tripletmum8 twins and triplets?! Oh my gosh, what are the odds of that Grin

tripletmum8 · 18/08/2019 22:25

SinkGirl I’ve had twins and we were constantly making comments about how lucky we were it wasn’t triplets, spoke too soon.

OP posts:
SinkGirl · 18/08/2019 22:18

I love Ines and Anais. Unfortunately I don’t like many boys names, so we had a challenge when we had to name our twin boys.

My main piece of advice: make their names distinct (different initials definitely - ours have the same first initial and it’s a logistical nightmare), people will struggle to tell them apart or remember which is which even if non identical. I know twin girls called Mia and Maya and it’s a nightmare, I can never remember which is which!

Hope all goes well for you, I have no idea how you’re surviving a triplet pregnancy, twins was enough!
