What do people think of this name? We're really struggling to find a middle name, I prefer one syllable names with Daisy. Also love the name Lily, so can anyone suggest middle names to go with Daisy or Lily? I came across Beau today and actually really like it, but curious as to what others think (I know I shouldn't care but I don't know if hormones are allowing me to think straight)Grin

@Awwlookatmybabyspider Robyn is a girls name, it’s Robin that is a boys name. Also Jo is typically a girls name (a nickname for Joanne, Joanna, Josephine etc) whereas Joe is the boy’s name (Joseph).
The rest of your examples are just names that happen to be unisex or whatever.

Beau is very different to that.

raskolnikova · 20/08/2019 09:42

It would be like calling a boy Belle...

SoyDora · 20/08/2019 09:14

It’s not that Beau is a boys name, it’s that the word ‘beau’ is the masculine form of ‘beautiful’ and therefore seems a strange name to give a girl. No one is freaking out, just pointing out that it’s odd.

midsomermurderess · 20/08/2019 09:06

The stupid is strong with some here.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 19/08/2019 23:49

Why are people freaking out over Beau being a boys name. Plenty of boys names are given to girls as MNs or even FNs.
Eg. Rae. Leigh. Jo. Robyn. No one Moans about them.

RosieCockle · 19/08/2019 23:21

It sounds like you are thick and don't know what Beau means - which you didn't.

Daisy Blythe?...

Frith2013 · 19/08/2019 19:41

I thought Beau was a male name - like Beau Brummell and Beau Geste.

So I think I’d swap to Bo.

Poetryinaction · 19/08/2019 18:44

I know a Daisy Jane (like Daisy Chain). That's nice.

Star801 · 19/08/2019 13:59

I like the suggestion of Daisy Elizabeth. I think it goes better with a longer middle name.

iogo · 19/08/2019 13:59

I have a relative's child who is called Daisy Beau. My dad pointed out to me that it really should be Daisy Belle. I think Daisy Belle is much prettier.

ZuzuMyLittleGingersnap · 19/08/2019 13:57

I know a Daisy Boo. Which I’ve always thought is lovely

Awwlook,
Jamie & Jools Oliver clearly agree!

AverageMummy · 19/08/2019 09:23

Daisy is lovely - Beau & Belle are not but I think middle names you can be as quirky as you like

IckleBear · 19/08/2019 09:21

Daisy Alice
Daisy Emma
Daisy Erin
Daisy Hope
Daisy Vera

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 19/08/2019 07:37

You could call her Daisy Bo
Ulrika Jonsdon has a daughter called Bo

SoyDora · 19/08/2019 07:34

Cookit no I don’t think they do!

TroysMammy · 19/08/2019 07:17

Daisy Bell is the title of the song (A Bicycle Made For Two).

MarigoldGlove · 19/08/2019 07:17

Beau and Daisy and brother and sister on the Dukes of Hazard.

Cookit · 19/08/2019 07:12

@SoyDora do you think they know they’ve actually named a daughter (I’m assuming it’s a daughter) beautiful/ handsome boy?

Cookit · 19/08/2019 07:10

Agree that unless your Daisy is a little boy, it doesn’t work.

However, I think you have some nice options. I also think Daisy could work with a longer middle name eg Daisy Elizabeth.
