Just that really. I met a girl named Betsy Blue and I’ll never forget that! Felt like a name from a book.

Any boys’ names that stood out to you?

Thierry and Blaise are perfectly normal French names. Unusual in the UK though obvs.

pasbeaucoupdegendarme · 20/08/2019 15:11

I met a baby boy called Beau-Blue once. His mum had a really Brummy accent too so I couldn’t “hear” his name without the accent.

I know a boy named Captain

NameChange30 · 18/08/2019 22:58

Murano
Saol (never seen or heard it) or Saul?

I remember a toddler called Rocco from a group I used to go to - I liked his name but was probably influenced by the fact that he was ridiculously beautiful, very cute and you could tell he was going to grow into a stunning adult. He could probably get away with most names!

I also met a Zeke (short for Ezekiel)

Probably other weird and wonderful names too but I have forgotten them, I blame the extreme sleep deprivation.

greyblue · 18/08/2019 22:56

Dashiell.

ScrambledSmegs · 18/08/2019 22:56

Heard a child being called in the playground years ago. Horatio was about 2 - don't think he appreciated the historical stature of his namesake.

The coolest kid I ever met was called Rudy. He and his name just went together beautifully.

When ds was at nursery, there was a late teen who picked his brother up sometimes. His name was E-type. Honestly. Said his mum wanted one and got him instead.

GwenCooper81 · 18/08/2019 22:02

Colourfulest · 18/08/2019 11:07

@GwenCooper81 sorry, my phone keeps autocorrecting to the op's name for some reason!

The Busby's are my favourite! Especially Riley Paige 😍 she reminds me of my little girl, in looks and personality!

GwenCooper81 · 18/08/2019 10:36

@Colourfulest it was me not the OP. Yes I've watched it aswell. Such a nice family. The accents are so lush as well.
The Busbys from Outdaughered are my guilty TV /insta/YouTube watch ❤️

Colourfulest · 18/08/2019 08:29

@Greengreen88

I follow them too. I found their names super weird until I watched their show 'sweet home sextuplets' and then suddenly the it made sense once I heard them say their names with their accents!
