Hi, I'm looking for a different flower name for a little girl. I already have a primrose so looking for something that goes well with her name. Thank you in advance!

Amaryllis

Bracken - Technically a plant but i think it sounds nice with Primrose.

Dahlia
Lilly

Tulip is pretty ugly.

Heather is a lovely classic.

Peony is nice but the Pee sound would worry me interns of teasing

BoreOfWhabylon · 15/08/2019 01:19

Mignonne

Poppins2016 · 15/08/2019 01:15

Honeysuckle.

HoratioNightboy · 15/08/2019 01:13

I know a lady called Sasanqua - a type of Camellia apparently.

My choice would be Tansy.

areukiddingme · 15/08/2019 01:03

Ragwort ......

Tartyflette · 15/08/2019 01:02

Or on a slightly different tack you could go with a 'colour' angle , with names like Scarlet, Jade, Marina or Violet.
They could all go with Primrose.
Actually, not Violet - while it's perfectly fine as a name, a Primrose and a Violet together sounds a bit twee much.

Ellmau · 15/08/2019 00:37

Viola if you think Violet's a bit too well used?

I think I'd skip the Rose names when you already have a Primrose. Even the ones pronounced differently I think would look a bit odd together.

I'm not sure about Peony. Too easy to mangle or misspell imo.

Scruffalicious · 14/08/2019 23:28

Peony is very nice.

Cantrip · 14/08/2019 23:24

Sorrel
Clover
Rowan

(Not flowers I realise 😃)

bridgetreilly · 14/08/2019 22:59

Primrose and Clover would be lovely.

Primrose and Heather
Primrose and Jasmine
Primrose and Poppy
Primrose and Hyacinth
Primrose and Petunia (Not really. This would be a bad choice. Don't call your daughter Petunia.)

AfterSchoolWorry · 14/08/2019 22:29

Oh yes, Marigold is gorgeous.

whattodo2019 · 14/08/2019 22:26

Hebe or Blossom

Devaki · 14/08/2019 22:25

Marigold

Byebyefriend · 14/08/2019 22:24

Bláithín or Blaithnaid. If you have any Irish blood. Little flower or blossom.

Pronounced Blawh-teen. Or Blawh-nhid.

KellyMarieTunstall2 · 14/08/2019 22:12

Peony is lovely. My daughter's friend is called Peony and it goes nicely with Primrose.

pinkpanther84 · 14/08/2019 22:12

Fleur

Theonewiththeblonde · 14/08/2019 22:09

Clover
Thyme
Rosemary
Daphne

Thank you all so much. So many beautiful names!

I really like violet but it has become quite popular in our area over the last couple of years.

I also really like dahlia, all the rose names like Rosabelle or Rosa but I don't know if that would sound to similar to primrose.

What to people think of peony? Or a that to out there?!

Flora is also a lovely name!
Thank you so much for your responses!

Azalea
Zinnia
Hebe
Jacinth

purplehamster · 14/08/2019 21:35

Marigold ?

I do like Rose or Rosa.

And Olive is a nice change to the popular Olivia.

Or maybe a season like Summer, Autumn depends when the baby is due ?

Cathyheathcliff · 14/08/2019 21:28

Tulip is my favourite flower name. I think it gies well with Primrose.
