Opinions on double-barelled first names is it silly and pretentious? I really like Luna-Rae but I don't know...

I’m not a fan.

Unnecessary.

They are really unpopular on MN but I don't mind SOME of them. Names like Lacey Mae, are quite common and perhaps would be perceived as chavy but I met a girl called Layla-Rose which really suited her. I wouldn't personally use double barrelled name though

Sorry OP another negative voice here.

Rae is particularly bad. It's not a proper name, it's recently popped up as a part or double barrelling which in itself is cringeworthy and naff. Nearly as bad is Mae.

Please don’t saddle your lovely baby with something so hideous! Go classic and you’ll rarely go wrong.

Yes, it's silly and pretentious. Also chavvy.
