Posting for sister in law who is expecting a little girl and she's narrowed it down to the following two:

Claudia
Meredith

Thanks!

Claudia! It's beautiful. Meredith sounds like 'merry death' to me if not said the proper Welsh way- sorry, it's just a name I cannot take too.

Asi2 · 07/08/2019 23:39

Exactly! Me and DH weren’t too fussed about the meanings but MIL is one of those who stick with traditions and that sort of thing 🙄 also an easy enough name to pronounce and make the little one stand out at school as not many use the name anymore sadly

Dollygirl2008 · 07/08/2019 23:37

Thank you - she loves Claudia but is concerned about the meaning - I've told her it doesn't matter a dot!

It's a classic name, doesn't feature in any of the "trends" but doesn't need spelling out each time!

Claudia is a lovely name, definitely in our top ten for when we have DD in February

Heratnumber7 · 07/08/2019 23:35

Meredith, if said the Welsh way.
