(Thread isn’t meant to offend anyone - MN hates my Dd and Ds names anyway!)

For me it would have to be Cordelia and Juniper.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Beatrix and Beatrice. Such ugly names.

AdelaideK · 07/08/2019 18:35

Elizabeth. Terrible, harsh, clunky name.

Names like Seracina, Ottilie or Ophelia are often suggested on here but I think they're hideous.

Lavenderblues · 07/08/2019 18:34

I agreed about bland names that are so dull from overuse:

Emily Amelia Amelie Olivia

Oliver Charlie Theo Harry

AntonsMumsTeeth · 07/08/2019 18:30

Eva, Evie, Evangeline

Dexter

Archie

Finn

Aubrey

Nova

PreschoolPlease · 07/08/2019 18:29

Boys names ending I'm -ie, Archie, Alfie, Albie, Reggie, Ronnie, Bobby, unless nicknames with a full name on birth certificate. Similar with girls names, Millie, Rosie, Poppy, Ellie.

Double barrelled first names, unless you're French.

Names that are surname-esque. Fletcher, Mason, Jackson, Hunter etc.

TreesoftheField · 07/08/2019 18:25

Hey Mawgan is Cornish not made up!!!

FairfaxAikman · 07/08/2019 18:23

Short form names where it's the full name. Ie Beth instead of Elisabeth etc

(It's fine if someone is known as a shorter version of their full name - can't explain why that doesn't bother me)

flossiefloo · 07/08/2019 18:21

I actually like Everly Blush

Where I live there seems to be a trend for old fashioned girls names which are quite "hard" sounding:

Maud
Morag
Daphne
Audrey

I've also met THREE little girls called Sydney which I find really odd.

Chocolatedeficitdisorder · 07/08/2019 18:16

Occupational names.
I could never look at a baby and think that he/she looked like a Hunter.

Daffodil2018 · 07/08/2019 18:16

Finley or Finlay or just plain Finn. Don't get it.

moonpiggle · 07/08/2019 18:14

Jaxon
Bear
Alfie
Kayden
Jayden

MrsSiriusBlack1 · 07/08/2019 18:13

My dc has a Jayden, kayden ,Hayden in their class plus 2 Alfie’s and 3 jacks, popular names round our way lol

bbgxd · 07/08/2019 18:13

Anything bland and mediocre. Names with absolutely ZERO personality.

Emily
Amelia
Olivia
Nova - overpopulation instagram
Chloe
Elizabeth
Charlotte

William - and other such names
Charlie
Teddy/theodore etc- blew up. Cringe

I've probably offended everyone 🤷🏻‍♀️

Usherusherusher · 07/08/2019 18:12

Rosalie makes me cringe beyond belief
Everly
Willow
Harriet
Emily

Hotpinkangel19 · 07/08/2019 18:11

Nevaeh. Awful name.

'Den' names.

Everly. Another ugly looking name.

henpartystress · 07/08/2019 18:08

Oh and Kai, Kian, Caleb. Just sound so ugly

henpartystress · 07/08/2019 18:08

William, James, Hannah and Emily. I don't know why I just hate them

origamiunicorn · 07/08/2019 18:06

Actually I like Hayden that's actually a name, the others not so sure.

aliensprig · 07/08/2019 18:06

Like a pp mentioned I've never understood why Oliver and Olivia are such popular names, but to each their own i suppose!

Ohyesiam · 07/08/2019 18:05

Until Mumsnet I thought Margot was short for Margaret.

origamiunicorn · 07/08/2019 18:05

*The awful obsession with adding 'den' to the end of a name-

Jayden
Kayden
Hayden
Cayden*

Same.

Offblue · 07/08/2019 18:05

Margot...looks like maggot :(
Beatrix or Beatrice....reminds me of beetroot. Just ugly sounding.

I'm sure the names I love other hate.

taylorlynn · 07/08/2019 18:03

Olivia
Isabelle/Isabella is way too popular now I used to think was a beautiful name until every little girl was called this
Florence I really don't get either
Yes to Juliet I see this on every girls list on this forum
Penelope

TartsKnickerDrawer · 07/08/2019 18:02

Agree with Arlo. There are loads around suddenly and it’s a...um...an odd name.
