Ignore the beyond immature, stupid comments about cats names. Lovely name.

DejaVoodoo · 07/08/2019 08:41

I love it.
I was a bit of a classical music geek as a child, and so the first thing it reminds me of is Felix Mendelssohn. So that’s kinda cool.
It means “happy, lucky” which is good, and also has a feline connotation, which is also good!

Pemba · 07/08/2019 01:27

Felix the Cat. Retro cartoon.

And the cat food of course, which I presume was named after the character.

Astronica · 07/08/2019 00:55

I love it.

Minai · 06/08/2019 21:25

Love it. Dh was adamant he wouldn’t consider it though.

CakeRattleandRoll · 03/08/2019 15:05

Really like it. Lovely meaning. Taught one many years ago - he would be mid-30s now.

Zazia · 03/08/2019 14:15

Love it.

Korvalscat · 02/08/2019 14:01

I didn't realise it was such a Marmite name, I'm in the cat/cat food camp.

AfterSchoolWorry · 02/08/2019 13:46

Cat 🐱

dreichhighlands · 02/08/2019 13:44

I think it is the Amercian CIA agent in James Bond.
The person I know is also American although Cuban by heritage.

Frith2013 · 02/08/2019 12:00

It’s ok.

The spy master in James Bond.

BuffaloCauliflower · 02/08/2019 11:17

Love it. And also love cats so don’t mind the association Grin

foxtiger · 02/08/2019 11:15

I think of it as a bit upper-class, which is not really my thing, but not as exaggeratedly so as something like Rupert or Tarquin - it's popular enough across the board that people a bit younger than me might not have that association.

It's fine. Reasonably commonplace round here. I know at least four ranging from 5 to 17. How ridiculous to suggest it is "try hard". What does that even mean?

chipsandgin · 01/08/2019 23:08

Meow 🐱

dreichhighlands · 01/08/2019 23:07

I like it and have a good friend called it.

joystir59 · 01/08/2019 22:56

Nope. Philip is much nicer.

Tillygetsit · 01/08/2019 22:54

I love the meaning. The 19 year old sneery git I know not so much

INeedAFlerken · 01/08/2019 22:37

Cats, cats, cats. And the Odd Couple.

Janiiiiiiice · 01/08/2019 22:37

I love it!

Pippilangstrumpfi · 01/08/2019 22:32

In the UK it's the name of a well known brand of cat food.

sheshootssheimplores · 01/08/2019 22:29

I’m hearing it a lot at the moment. I’m not keen 😬

BunnyJumps · 01/08/2019 22:23

Love it, Fixy for short
