My 2018 baby is now 1 and a half and I'd love to know where her name comes.
So top predictions.
I'm going with Freya for a girl.
Boys... Harry/ Enzo/ Theo.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Poetryinaction · 29/08/2019 15:12

Ah yes thank you. A little disappointed my dd name appears to have dropped out of the top 100. I thought it was more well liked.

Ugh, I meant Aubree's

Colourfulest · 29/08/2019 14:03

Plus another 133 Aubrey's!

Colourfulest · 29/08/2019 14:00

@AuntieStella

There were 170 girl Aubrey's only 44 boy Aubrey's so it's actually very much a girls name now in the UK.

Jessi88 · 29/08/2019 12:55

Rethinking Florence for DD2 now. I’ve never met one so didn’t think it would be that popular!

Colourfulest · 29/08/2019 12:15

Darkgreener is still showing my dd's name as last years ranking position... It says 2018 but its wrong.

WaterSheep · 29/08/2019 11:38

Wow that's impressive.

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 29/08/2019 11:35

Wow, darkgreener has been updated already. That was quick!

Download this years stats and go to table 6.

2 hours later I've finally figured out there's only 4 with my daughter's name born in 2018 (including her) Grin

FantasticPhyllis · 29/08/2019 11:29

@50Colourfulest you can use www.darkgreener

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 29/08/2019 11:27

Maryam is an Islamic name and popular in the Muslim community. Aurora has been climbing steadily for a few years.

Colourfulest · 29/08/2019 11:20

I know quite a few Aurora's.

I can't see any names outside the top 100...

WaterSheep · 29/08/2019 11:17

I'm surprised by some of the girls names, particularly Maryam and Aurora being so high. I've worked with a lot of children and have never encountered either name.

Also interesting to me at least, of the top 100 girls names 40 of them end in the letter A

Can you see it now? I am surprised how popular Hunter is.

ZoyaTheDestroyer · 29/08/2019 11:07

It’s definitely all there. Try clearing your cache.

Colourfulest · 29/08/2019 10:50

@Poetryinaction yeah I can only see the statistics too. Last BBC released an article with a search bar and you could type in any name and it would tell you how many were given the name and its ranking position. I'm hoping they'll do the same this year!

Poetryinaction · 29/08/2019 10:41

The list isn't there is it? Just the data.

OP posts:
Cbeebiesrehab · 29/08/2019 10:34

Less than half (45%) of babies had a name within the top 100 lists in 2018, down from two thirds (67%) in 1996

I thought this was an interesting statistic too.

Poetryinaction · 29/08/2019 10:19

Thanks, but I'm still only getting 2017 as the top option?

OP posts:
ZoyaTheDestroyer · 29/08/2019 10:19

Well done to the pp who called it on Grayson. Into the top 100.

Poor Alexa. Crashing down because of the Amazon Echo device.

Cbeebiesrehab · 29/08/2019 10:08

The maternal age statistics are really interesting!

ElizabethG81 · 29/08/2019 10:07

Click on "view all data used in this statistical bulletin" - a green link to the right of the Main Points sections - that will give you all the stats.

Poetryinaction · 29/08/2019 10:01

I still can't see the lists. Doesn't it still say due for release in September?

They've added an interesting feature this year that gives a breakdown of name popularity in relation to the mother's age.
