Classic girls name with lots of nickname options

We're looking for a classic name that's not too modern or trendy, that has lots of variations she could choose her nickname from when she's older.

Something along the lines of Elizabeth, but we can't use as it's a family name already.

Totally stuck Confused

I like Annaliese as it does give lots of options, along with Katherine, Elizabeth and Rebecca.

I know someone who spelt her DDs name analease.

Pemba · 01/08/2019 19:38

I always liked Anneliese, however you spell it. I don't think it is the sort of name people think of as classic though. You are more likely to get people saying it's quite 80s. So not currently trendy either. Maybe it's a classic in other European countries.

Very pretty though, and diminutives could be Anna, Annie, Lisa etc

SelfEmptyingDishwasher · 01/08/2019 10:44

Love Tabitha too, adding that to the list!

What does everyone think of Anneliese/Annalise?

I can't decide whether it's a classic sounding name or a bit trendy?!?

Thank you for all the ideas, my own name has come up once or twice.

Adding Vivienne and Josephine to the list, although surname begins with an F so not sure if Josephine will be too much??

Love Harriet too Smile
