Do you know a William? What's their NN

Just seeing if anyone has same nickname for William that my sister suggested. Also how popular it is as lists suggest it isn't really common now which surprised me. Thanks x

Most are William, no nicknames.

Occasionally Will, Wills.

Never known a Willie probably for obvious reasons. Liam is a derivative of William but I’ve never heard that as a nickname for one. Bill and Billy are used with older generations.

Will or Billy for all the ones I know under 40.
Liam is originally a nickname for William, but now mainly used as a name on its own. Liam Gallagher's full name is William.

Will, Wills and Billy. And an elderly neighbour called Willie which I’m not sure would work these days. Liam is often touted as a nickname for William, but I don’t think I’ve ever encountered it in real life. Liam seems like a full name on its own to me.

I know a couple of Williams, both are known as Will. I believe Prince William is also known as Will and the papers get it wrong by calling him ‘Wills’.
