Narrowed down to these two.

If louis, which spelling and pronunciation? Should the 'S' BE SILENT AS IN PRINCE LOUIS?

Or is Alfie nicer?

Louis is nicer. I like Alfie short for Alfred.

Alfred Louis is very regal.

Louis. Classic name. And pronounced definitely like the prince. Never ever Louie, which will make you or him look ignorant and/or stupid.
Alfie is a cheeky kid who’s out of control.

Louis (with a silent s) is my favourite. Alfie makes me think of Kat and Alfie in Eastenders!

Louis. With that spelling and pronounced with a silent S. Lewis is a different name.
