What do you think of these names for my twins?

I am expecting twins in November. We don't know if it's boy/boy, boy/girl, or girl/girl.

Our girl's list was incredibly short, but we've recently found quite a few more we like, and I'm interested in opinions. We have tended towards old/classic names which aren't overly popular for our other DC.

Nina
Tabitha
Ottilie
Juliet
Elodie
Rose/Rosalie/Rosanna
Delphine
Everly
Emma

Elodie and Juliet, Tabitha and Juliet, Rose and Nina

I have to say I think a Emma is a bit beige in comparison to the others. I like Ottilie but I think it’s awkward in a pair. Also like Delphine..delphine and Rose?

Can I ask why you wouldn't use Juliet for a twin? Surely it's no different to a sibset?

Going against the grain
I wouldn’t use Juliet for a twin. Especially if it’s a BG set

IF you decide you’re going to, then you need to put Juliet first, not second. Juliet & Katherine for example.

I don’t like Emma with Juliet it feels like you ‘used up’ your ‘best name’ with Juliet as Emma is very plain you need something equal

Emma and Juliet are beautiful, tell DH they're very classic. I wouldn't say that Everly is classic either, seems modern to me.

Pineapplefish · 27/07/2019 09:57

My favourites are: Tabitha, Juliet, Rose

Least favourites: Ottilie, Delphine, Everly

I really like Emma and Juliet, but DH thinks they're a bit dated, rather than classic. I'll have to keep working on him!

@NannyR Evelyn was on our list but we discounted it as it's becoming very popular, and climbing. Everly is much more stable and further down the charts. We also liked Emmeline but discounted as we felt we'd end up with multiple pronunciations (Emme -line -lin - leen)

I think we'd use Delphi as a sort of nickname for Delphine. DH feels it's a bit too exotic but he's letting it sit for now!

All lovely names! I love Tabitha and Juliet best. Congratulations!

Icklepup · 27/07/2019 09:53

Delphine and Pandora?
Delphine and Juniper?

Icklepup · 27/07/2019 09:47

I like Delphine!

bridgetreilly · 27/07/2019 09:35

I'm not a huge fan of Delphine, but I really like Delphi, if you'd consider that.

I also like Juliet, Emma and Tabitha.

NannyR · 27/07/2019 09:29

I love Emma, Nina and Juliet. Everly doesn't strike me as an old, classic name, more of a modern, celeb name, I prefer Evelyn.

MarthasGinYard · 27/07/2019 09:26

I like all other than Everly and Emma

I'll also throw in

Celeste

Cordelia

Rainbowqueeen · 27/07/2019 09:25

I was thinking Emma and Juliet too!!

Chilledout11 · 27/07/2019 09:25

Emma and Juliet are beautiful.
I love James for a boy and Oliver or Jude.

Davespecifico · 27/07/2019 09:23

It looks like you like French names. Do a search of French names online to get some ideas.

Davespecifico · 27/07/2019 09:22

Boys names I like include: Andrew, Alastair, Ivan, Alex
