How many male Arlos do you know, and what part of the country are you in? I have previously thought this was a bit of a try hard name, but it's growing on me!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

There are lots all clustered in certain areas I think. I know 5 under 5 in SE London. I think it's a name that will link a child to a certain time, as it's quite zeitgeisty, but depends how bothered you are about that

HeadfirstForHalos · 25/07/2019 13:16

I know one aged 15 , West mids. I dont think it will date, it's hardly a new name. He's named After Arlo Guthrie.

DrDentyst · 25/07/2019 13:15

I don't know any but it was the 42nd most popular boys name in 2017 for England & Wales and has risen massively (in 2014 it was ranked 141) so I would expect it to be more popular in the 2018 stats (due out aug/Sept).

roundligament · 25/07/2019 13:10

I know one. It's an Albanian name apparently, his dad is Albanian. I love the name. He is 2.5

TinyMystery · 25/07/2019 13:10

South East btw.

TinyMystery · 25/07/2019 13:10

I’ve met at least 6 but do work in maternity so meet a lot of babies!

seven201 · 25/07/2019 13:07

1 two year old, south east. I do think it's getting more popular

sneakypinky · 25/07/2019 13:06

I know 3 - newborn in Cambridgeshire, a toddler in Essex, and a 6yo in Norfolk.

Gorillaandme · 25/07/2019 12:58

aleC4 · 25/07/2019 12:57

I'm an infant teacher in the East Midlands and we've never had one in our school - I've been there 20 years!

ArtichokeAardvark · 25/07/2019 12:48

I know a few, and have met a few dogs called that too.
I prefer Marlowe.

Knickersononeshead · 25/07/2019 12:09

My friend has an almost 1yo with the name Arlo. Yorkshire area. Lovely name.

Cbeebiesrehab · 25/07/2019 12:08

I know two.
Nice name but I would be concerned it will date-not sure if that matters though? I think like PP said, you may find it is far more popular is certain areas? It feels more like a London/hipster vibe than a classic country vibe.

Frith2013 · 25/07/2019 11:17
  1. Welsh Marches.
Militantmartha · 25/07/2019 10:51

Know of three in the south east

partofyoupoursoutofme · 25/07/2019 10:30

Thanks everyone! I've never met one, I have a 2 year old and know loads of kids, but sometimes names can be clustered in one place. I know of 4 baby Adas and 3 baby Maxes born in the last few months despite not knowing any before. You just can't predict can you!
